I see some .edu blog comment spam in your backlink profile. Did you buy something like that?

Basically all you have there is spammy blog comments and web directories plus a few blog roll links. You can't sustain traffic on crappy links.

Where is high quality Web 2.0? Where is multimedia and social links? Where is high quality high PR blog links?

I had an seo do a little work for me. I also made some backlinks on other sites. Do you think I have a backlink problem. I had a site crash a few days before my drop and had to restore a backup. Could that have anything to do with such a huge drop so quickly? I Seriously lost 80% in less than two days. Thanks for any help.

Site going offline for an extended period of time can lead to a sudden drop in ranking. If this is it, you should recover. However it doesn't solve you linking problem.

You have almost no really good links.

Here is a quick SEO plan for you. I suppose you wrote your website content yourself so you can create a good content.

      1. Write 10-20 articles
      2. Make a YouTube video (nothing fancy required, use Animoto)
      3. Post articles to Squidoo, Hubpages, Bukisa, Qondio, Wordpress.com, Tumblr, Posterous, Wikia, Wetpaint, Weebly, Jimdo, Diigo, Webnone with
      embedded video
      4. Turn some articles into PDFs and post to Scribd, Slideshare and PdfCast.org

Link articles, PDFs and video to different posts on your site.

      5. Use something like BackLinks2RSS v2 - HTML Links into RSS Feeds to create RSS feeds from the links you have created.
      6. Submit these feeds to Feedage and Feedagg RSS directories.
      7. Ping these feeds on pingomatic.org

This will give you some good links. Rinse and repeat several times.

This is a very rough and oversimplified strategy but it's better than simple blog comment spam and few blogroll links.

OR buy some good complete links building package from a trusted provider.

Absolutely. Downtime for an extended period of time can hurt your rankings.

You dropped because of googles recent update. But you can try and build back up with more quality backlinks. Google also punishes for having too many ads vs what they deem is enough content.

Don't put the cart before the horse. He dropped because of less than acceptable backlink profile. That's why he was affected by the update.

Sites with good backlinks and original content are unaffected by update or even perform better.

Seeing as i've read tons and tons of people complaining their sites have loss rank I think it's clear you're incorrect. He dropped because of the update, and the only thing he can do is try and build the rank back up until google knocks him down again.

This is quite a common problem, rigorous efforts give instant results. As soon you lose the grip on optimization activities, your website starts dropping. Along with your own optimization practices, you have to keep tab on your competitors' strategies.
Moreover, its good to focus on traffic rather than on building rank. Apart from organic rankings, traffic may come from any source.
