I always hear people saying to not solely depend on Google for traffic

But what are some other sources of traffic that can bring in the same steady amount of traffic that Google does?

I'm sure that you could have probably come up with 5 alternative sources of traffic in the time it took you to make this post!

Google does deliver quality traffic, but it certainly won't make-or-break you if you can be creative. There are other search engines (yahoo/bing/2nd tier engines), social sites (FB/Twitter/Digg/Etc), Web 2.0 sites (squidoo/hubpages), forums (put your sites link your signature), citation sites (Yelp), and more. Just use your brain. Get your link on any site that is relevant to your niche.

Then, of course, there is always paid search/advertisements.

Forums! Spend 30 minutes or so a day participating in a few active and niche related forums. It's still one of the best ways to drive VERY targeted traffic.

Once you're working with too many sites you can outsource the posting. Just make sure they're leaving good / relevant posts & not simply spamming your link in their sig.
