Hey Guys I have been doing SEO for around 3 years sadly and I still haven't been able to get my site to rank #1.

I have gotten my site ranked on the first page in position 2 and 3 for some of my main keywords and they always fall off. About a month a go I held 2nd position for my main keyword and now for the past month i have been on the third page, the site is 3 years old and I have only built quality links. no comments or forum links, only article, PR, youtube, social networking links and Networks like BMR, and have indexed, by building links to them.

But for the past month i have been getting 10 visitors a day and no improvement in rankings, it peaked again in rankings with all my rankings coming back 6 days ago, even in better position then the month before. But I have again returned to the third & second page.

Below is MS SEO competition stats:

The Top site is mine.

Firstly I would like to know if you would class this competition as hard, medium or easy.

Secondly what I could do to improve my rankings.

Thanks

Isaac

Can you post a screenshot? It's impossible to read those stats.

By the looks of Market Samurai that is some hard competition. The thing is it doesn't look like the top ten is optimized correctly for whatever keyword you are going after. Just keep building high page rank backlinks consistently and try adding more content.

    Good Luck

  • What looks good to me is the lack of red blocks on the right hand side. This means the sites are not well optimized and you can do a better job.
The question though is can you get better backlinks to your site. If you think you can then this one shouldn't be too tricky to hit page one for.
