Adwords VS Google Ranking

Hi everyone!

I just have a quick question to ask.

If you are starting an Adwords campain,
and you are bidding very low for your website,
lets say ($0.01 - $0.05) per click.

How will this affect your ranking in the Google Search Engine, or any other SE's?

As opposed to Bidding a high CPC for your site, like ($5.00-$10.00) per click.

What I am thinking,
is that if you have a high CPC for your website,
Google will consider it to be more valuable, and more important to rank higher in the search results.

If you have a very low CPC, like 1cent per click,
won't google believe that you are a "junk" site?

and rank you in the search results?

Does anyone have any knowledge in this topic?

Thanks for your time!
-Andrew

If it was that simple, don't you think everyone would be doing it?

Adwords has no effect on your Google ranking.

Hey thanks for your speedy response KirkMcD!

Well actually I wasn't sure what to think,
that's why I asked to make sure

Since I'm still new to the Adsense world,
I wasn't really sure what "everyone was doing"

I recon there are allot of things about Google's Ranking methods we would never know, because whey won't want us to know about it and take advantage of the system. (Yet some information may mysteriously be leaked into the hands of some marketers now and then.)

The reason why the question came to mind, is when I was reading a part of an Adsense blog post:

    --------------------------------------
"Fact is setting a bid of 7 cents per click will place your ad that low on the search engine that you will only get a small amount of page impressions therefore decreasing the chance of anyone clicking on your Google ad and registering a possible visitor, plus most keywords will not successfully activate Google Ads at such a low bid price."
    --------------------------------------

Is anyone able to elaborate on what this person is trying to say here?

The quote was located in the 7th paragraph of this page:
How NOT to Make Money with Google Adsense

I'd think this point (Adwords VS Google Ranking) has some logic towards it,
so I wouldn't put it past Google that they may have these 2 areas some how inter-connected.

    But for now,
I'll just take your word for it, since you are much more experienced than me in marketing.

    Thanks again!
