Can you get traffic using craigslist?

Craigslist is my primary source of traffic and I find it generates instant
traffic. You must do your homework first to see what category your product
fits into. Post where others marketing your product post so you fit in and your ads are less likely to be ghosted. Learn to write good ads by trial and error. If you take time to work at it you will always be able make money online.

Yes its a great source of traffic. I get anywhere from 5-30 visitors per ad! Just make sure you match the categories correctly and try to be the least spammy as possible.

Is a old trick people used for quick traffic. But youtube can get you more traffic than CL. Give it a try and see.

Way back 2010, I worked as a craigslist poster in one of my client in Australia! I post about houses, they sell house and we generate a lots of traffics from craigslist. Just make sure that your post looks professional and have a lots of images on it so that the craigslists users will attract and visit your link.

Without wanting to hijack the post. Can anyone suggest how I would use it to promote an language course download sold on my website? I can't see an appropriate category and I'm not sure the best way of using it (craigslist).

Yes, it is good for traffic but not so good for SEO.

As your ad would expire one day meaning your backlink is removed and this affects ranking.

I have 2 craigslist accounts that I post from 4 to 6 ads per day for different services, I advertise SEO, email blasting, logo design and other stuff too, I get at least 2 new clients every week.

Yes you can but it's not targeting traffic so if you are tying to get traffic to your site that has purpose of making affiliate sale most likely it won't convert...

Come to think of it, Craigslist is best for fulfillment services, if you do a service where you talk on the phone with the clients you get from craigslist, its a great avenue to get contracts and customers calling for what you advertise. Getting traffic to your website will be hard since there are so many scammers on craigslist

Craigslist is on top of the list to get good amount of traffic through classifieds.But one has to think different and apply different techniques/sites to get additional traffic.You tube is one another option.

Yes Brus Martin, I post CL in all important sections for specific category, after depth analysis, where audiences are looking for are services, and waiting in queue. To get maximum revenue to drive traffic into business niche. Make sure to use an image ad or text to link back to your site. Don't expect CL users to copy and paste. Every year I list our neighborhood garage sale on Craigslist. When our business needed to hire a truck driver, I listed the job on Craigslist. I use it to keep tabs on community activities and events.

  Everyone here is all well intentioned but posting in Craigslist to get affiliate sales is pretty much a waste.
  
  Now here is the trick.
  
  Craigslist has discussion forums.
  Start posting there.
  Start discussions around something you are selling.
  After a bunch of posts (6-8) post your affiliate link with a product that solves problems.
  I've been doing this for a while and make some decent money doing this.

Yes! I have used Craiglist and I'm still using it.

Make sure you pick the right category so you can get the most targeted traffic you can.

Don't take your headline for granted. Make it intriguing and catchy but specific. This will make people click your post.

Yeah I see a bunch of posts that talk about getting traffic from cl, but no sales or conversions. I think cl gets massive traffic, but cpa, and aff links don't convert like they do from target traffic looking to make money online.
