Is it a good idea to buy anything on fiverr relating to SEO?

Hi guys,

Do you think it is a good idea to buy backlinks or any other type of seo service on fiverr?

I've been thinking of buying a few different gigs that say they will help you rank better in the search engines but I find it hard to believe you could get anything that is going to be of value for only five bucks.

Has anyone had any good results from using gigs on fiverr?

I wouldn't buy any "backlink" gigs from fiverr. Too risky. Never really know where they are blasting those links.

I do buy social bookmarking services and buy from the top social bookmarking providers. I buy gigs with 200 social bookmarks or less. This has always improved my position in the serps as well as expediting getting sites indexed.

    Hi pepper81,

    It's totally hit and miss.

You might get someone who is good but it's much more likely that it
    can cause your site harm.

I would never get SEO stuff from Fiverr

    Hope this helps

I agree that its very hit and miss with backlinks and on many occasions ive bought them and theyve not been relevant to my business.

Regarding SEO sign up to a few free trials on keywork ranks, link building, bank links etc and gain experice and advise that way then you can always sign up for a year.

  • Well yes AND no.

Do you have a strategy for SEO? A link-building system in place? If so then you would know exactly what you could outsource and what you couldn't. If you merely want to get any kind of links then fiverr is probably not a good idea... though before I knew anything about SEO, I used fiver link wheels and got some number 1 rankings out of it. I was just lucky to avoid de-indexing/G-slapping but I wouldn't recommend it.

    • Don't buy backlinks on Fiverr.

Don't buy them anywhere else, either.

Here's where you strayed off course:

I find it hard to believe you could get anything that is going to be of value for only five bucks.

It's the old price = value fallacy. If something costs more, it must be worth more.

You could pay $50 for a backlinks package, but the seller turns around and subcontracts that work to a Fiverr seller. His profit: $45.

And the worst part? Those links probably won't help your site anyway and could definitely hurt.

Lots of people are hurting from the latest Panda update. They're losing actual income because they bought links.

    No.

    Be very careful.

Despite what you may have heard about "there's no way you can hurt your site by bad linking activities, otherwise you could hurt your competitors" etc... you can hurt your rankings by using bad linking activities and those tend to be the most prevalent on fiverr.

Fiverr is great if you want a header design, maybe a book cover etc. but when it comes to backlink building / SEO I'd suggest you do the work. You'll learn a lot and gain valuable experience thus improving your skills / knowledge.

Put it this way, if I walked into a pub and Andy Henry was having a beer and he didn't know me, do you think I could get him to do the SEO on my site if I bought him a pint and some peanuts?

    No.

Well a pint of beer costs more here than I'd pay someone on Fiverr, the peanuts take it well over. So in short, you get what you pay for, someone that's unlikely to know a great deal about SEO.

As most of the people have mentioned here. Never ever buy any thing which seems to be generated through software. Those are not useful at all. While buying services, you should choose those ones which are created manually. They are much more effective.

May be the quantity is less but there will be quality which is more important.

Its a lotto - there are many scammers and criminals on fiverr. Ive ousted a few from that site in the last couple of years by calling them out and reporting them (present a case properly and you can shaft them).

There are probably good ones as the guy above says - finding them is hard. Expect to be shafted in the rear end.

I don't know why all are so harsh against Fiverr SEO related gigs because I always managed to rank my page using Fiverr link building services.

There are plenty of decent gigs on fiverr. Just make sure you give them a trial run on a less important site before you roll out on your money site.

Social Bookmarks, Forum Profiles and Link Pyramids can also be worth looking at.
If you want some hands free SEO at a low price then you cant beat fiverr.

And dont buy scrapebox backlink blasts to your money site..Not unless you want to get sandboxed!

If you have some knowledge on SEO, you can research the fiverr and find some gems... IMHO most of the gigs are crap but surely there are some great gigs..

There is a whole load of crap on fiverr, but there are some real gems and i've gotten some sites ranked well just by using some services from fiverr. just do your research and go through the highest rated gigs.

If you have a good SEO strategy in a place and you know what your linkbuilding process is you can go for buying backlinks on fiverr with few trials.

Following gigs works out really great -
    1. Bulk Social Bookmarking not more than 200 or 250
    2. Link wheels or Link pyramids.
    3. Submit to Article Samsurai
    4. Submit to UAW
    5. Submit to Blog Networks & Directories (Not all of this blog network gigs are good you need to do a little research about provider.)

    and few similar ones.

And don't go and blast those thousands of links to your site, It will end up in disaster.

    --

Again my approach first is - I test gigs with my own sites, blogs, niche sites I own. And only go further for clients if I find them useful!

I'd never trust any SEO gigs from Fiverr. Not to my money site anyway... I might consider paying someone to drive crappy links to my feeder sites, but that's about it.

I have had success with SEO bookmaking and content creation, maybe some link pyramids, but I would stay away from the rest, otherwise, google will kick you in the nuts.....literally tell you to bend over with no shorts on, and get you right in the underneath side of your goolies with the end of his steel cap boot!!!! OUCH!

I've been buying short videos on fiverr that can introduce a new site (or a post even). That's $5 for a short 1min video.

Then I find someone to create a new gmail, create 20 profiles, and upload it to 20 sites or so. thats another $5. Maybe half the video sites get backlinks, the rest just get a text url.

But that's a pretty good $10 to jump start the seo on a keyword.

I've had stuff (like a 600/mo exact, 425,000 seoc keyword) hit page 2 JUST from this. And these are no anchor text links, so its just the raw PR from the videos plus the onpage seo. And half of the aren't even links, they're just TEXT urls.

    Hi Pepper,

Fiverr is a good service site which I've used a few times, however just like anything else it would be a good idea to be sure to do your homework first.

    Things I suggest:

    1) Look at the reviews of what other purchasers from that gig are saying.

    2) Quality over quantity: Be sure to ask the seller what kind of links he/ she will be providing. Are they high PR, do-follow, contextual. Those are what you want.

    3) Check out "Angela style backlinks". They work, and they're killer for building up a site.

    4) Get an article written with your main keyword in the title and body about three times, then have it submitted it to Article Samurai.

    5) Use video. Have a video made, or do it yourself, then have it submitted to popular video sharing sites using your hyperlink in the description.

    All the best with it!
