Hi Folks, wishing to explore other revenue streams beside Google I wandered over to the Microsoft Advertising pubCenter site. Is Microsoft really this far behind Google? Or is there another way to have my site show ads from the Bing/Yahoo networks...

Quote from Microsoft Adcenter Help...

...Web publishers
Can I join the program?
We are currently in a pilot phase and focused on large publishers. If you are a brand-name publisher, publisher network or media company with over 200 million monthly page views and/or 50 million monthly search queries and would like to be a partner in our network...

....??!?

The thing is MSN charges more but the result is not according to expectation.

If I understand what you are saying you are pointing to PPC advertising, I am interested in hosting ads on my website, as in "Adsense", am I misunderstanding you?

MS has not made one dime online. They lose billions.

        Google makes billions.

Yes, MS is a nonissue. They get the scraps.

Not that it won't work. But nothing beats
        google's online advertising system. Nothing.

        MS ruined yahoo. Go figure.

There is no way one can say one or the other is
cheaper. It's all about niche and who's bidding.

There are deals on each system.

And there are people who are successful using MS.

Maybe it's like the old ad used to say. We're #2
        so we try harder...

Well, I hope for everybody's sake they do improve, I am fed up with Google's monopolistic "dance" every couple of months, only competition will cure them of their delusions of godhood. I think the fact Microsoft is in "pilot" stage of a new iteration means they are #2 and trying harder, I wish them well and I will keep checking in...

LOL! MS has been nonexistent as competition for google as far
as online advertising goes. They are pathetic losers across the
board. Like I said. They ruined yahoo. Case closed.

MS has been in "pilot" stage for years. Cost them billion$.

MS is a software giant. They should stick with that.

Besides, any successful ad network MUST have the same rules
and regulations as google. Or else they will fall under the weight
            of garbage.

It would be great to have a good alternative to Adsense but pubcenter seems to of been in pilot forever,.

A few months back I emailed their support and they did reply the same day but with a very generic email that told me what I already knew, it went something like we are still in pilot phase and are not currently accepting new publishers.

So who knows hopefully it will launch for smaller webmasters in the future
