AdSense Advance Settings

I haven't touched my AdSense settings in a long time. Tonight, I was checking them and found "Social Ads Preference". The default is Yes, "The use of +1 related features and social annotations in ads is allowed."

Question. Do you think that this either helps or hurts income from AdSense?
