Google Not Indexing Websites

Hi guys,

Recently I found out that Google is a bit tricky (as always).

I have built a few niche sites and added them to my Google Webmaster account and submitted a sitemap then used Backlinks from the gods Hermes indexer to get them indexed.

Usually they were indexed by the next day.

However when I forgot to submit a sitemap and used the indexer first (then submitted the sitemap, maybe 2-3 days later) they didn't and haven't got indexed since.

Anyone has encountered this problem?

I have already built a few backlinks to the sites (they got indexed by bing and yahoo) but the big G doesn't want to give in. Any suggestion?

Webmaster doesn't show any problem with crawling, no warning messages, nothing.

Should I delete the sites, leave the domains for a while and try to install a new wordpress site on them a few days/weeks later and try the whole process again?

Thank you for your help!

    1) If possible create 1 or 2 good articles and submit to some major article directories..These article directories are frequently crawled by search engines. This will also help you.

    2) you need to do keyword research for your site. Select the best suited keywords and put them in your title and META tags. Also try to highlight keywords on the site content with bold or heading tags or as anchor texts.

    3) Submit to major search engines, directories and social bookmarking sites.

    4) One more thing can possible: did someone else have the domain in the past and have it banned. You should check to see if your site has ever been banned, and if so then request re-inclusion from Google.

Hope these tips will help you. best of Luck.

Wait for few days and your site should get indexed. Also, try doing some social bookmarking and then submit all those links to RSS feeds. You should get indexed in next 24 hrs.

I've been facing the same problem, it's just a matter of time before you get indexed though; some sites get indexed within a few hours, others a few days.

A new one I built, had 4x 500 word articles, had been pinged, submitted to Digg, Stumbleupon and Declicious, it got indexed on the 5th day - Linking to it with frequently spidered, active, authority sites seems to do the trick though.

    hi guys,

thanks for the help. although it seems to me that something else is the problem. i want to emphasize that the sites do have backlinks and the spiders access them.

here is two screenshots from the sites' webmaster interface:

One of them is more than 2 months old, the other one is two weeks old. Should have been indexed by now, definitely.

Does Google miss out specific webpages from the index?

    A guy I know started a petition on change.org.
He complained that the numbers signing had dwindled.
Someone else mentioned they could not find it on Google.

    The petition is
    change DOT org/petitions/robert-walker-whitaker-and-other-pro-white-dissidents-appeal-to-dmitry-anatolyevich-medvedev-for-solidarity-against-white-genocide
The title of the petition is
Robert Walker Whitaker and OTHER Pro-White Dissidents Appeal to Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev for Solidarity Against White Genocide

If you put the url or the petition title into Google the search will not give you the petition page.

I had a look at other petitions on change.org.
I put the title of the petitions in Google.
Everyone of them produced the webpage of the petition either as top or second in the list.
The webpage of this chap's petition on change.org is not indexed at all by Google. I checked about 30 other petitions and every one of these webpages were indexed.

I had a look at the robot text on change.org.

    # Change.org robots.txt
    Sitemap:
    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /*/community
    Allow: /

There is nothing there stopping the Google bot crawling any of petition pages.
This petition page used to be indexed as fair as I can remember but now this one as best I can determine has been specifically pulled from indexing.

Anyone aware of this happening before?

I have had a similar situation where Google took about 2 weeks to index my site, but this was before I had installed xml sitemaps. I can tell you what works for me now and usually gets my sites indexed in a few days. There is a plugin called something like Pubsubhubub (you'll find it if you do a plugin search). This plugin sort of pings only the most popular social sites anytime a post or content has been updated on your site. When combined with xml sitemaps, my sites get in the index in sometimes 1 day.

Use RSS feed according to your business niche and engage your website in popular social networking website like, Reddit, Stumbleupon, Pinterest, Facebook, Linkedin, friendfeed, tumbler etc. Google may now also index some data from these social networking website and news channels.
