Hi,

What is a fair price monthly for a good PR7 backlink. I have a few offers from webmasters.

Thats why Im asking, Im not talking about scam, garbage, seo crap, blog roll bladiebla websites.

Im talking about established authority websites. Real websites with Real content and amazing backlink profiles. Alexa rank 60.000. Age 10+. And a link on the homepage.

Anyone any ideas? Or the price you would pay monthly?

$5-$10 per month for a PR7? Why do people insist on answering questions they have no idea about. Webmasters can get a few hundred for those kinds of links but it depends on what the setup is. Is it contextual, is it bloggroll, sitewide etc.

I would also depend on where the link was placed. If it was more than 3 pages deep, that wouldn't do anything for me traffic wise.
????? Why because home pages are the only pages that get traffic?

Its in the navigation bar. The OBL is less then 10. And it will stay less then 10. This is no website which earns money with selling links or something. I contacted the webmaster manually.

Great answer Mike. PR7 with 10- OBL is awesome. Like Mike said price will highly vary depending on that kind of links you'll get. Seriously it will probably depends on the webmaster. If he knows a bit about SEO, expect to pay high XXX for blogroll and contextual are probably going to cost you 50-100$, there again it's just assumptions.

I wouldn't contact him by telling him I'm welling to spend 1000$ to get backlinks from him as he'll probably get "very" hungry. I'd probably see if he's open for a guest post and if yes, just talk with him and see what's his position on external links

Where you getting your PR7 links from, Mike? I've been looking for some good sitewide and contextual ones. I don't so much need the blogrolls...

A link like that should in theory be worth quite alot but the actual amount would depend on the relavence the type of link and how good you/webmaster are at negotiating. At the end of the day the link is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In this case you.

Well he asks 60$ a month. But the placement is not that good, I dont suspect much traffic from the link.

But I really wonder if this is really good for my SERP/PR and if thats worth it with a PR7 or I should use that money for something else ?

Its somewhat related, at least it doesnt look weird in Googles eyes.

Sorry for the double post, but 60$/month seems legit. However, if you hesitate and don't have the budget to build more links, I wouldn't buy it.. I'd guess it's a blogroll link, so don't expect 100's visitors/month from it, but buy it for your linkbuilding efforts. 60/month is 720/year so if you don't spend like 5k/year on linkbuilding this just isn't worth it IMO.

It will have a positive impact on your SERP/PR but the problem is that $60pm soon adds up. It is only one link and the moment you stop paying it is gone.

60 a month is fair, more than fair if the site is going to drive you traffic as well.

Hi, 60$ a month is decent, you might get 2 months free if you pay for a year. It will most likely help your SERP.

$60 seems like a fairly decent price, especially if the OBL are low. It will pass a lot of link value / juice. I would be purchasing for the link value, traffic would be a bonus. It all depends on your budget and how likely you are to see an ROI

$60 per month with low OBL is good. But like many mentioned here it all depends on your budget and your long term plan with the site.

$10 for a PR 7? Man if that were the case, everyone should be ranked 1 by now for a bunch of competitive terms. But they're not.

OP already said placement isn't that good, so it sounds like any direct traffic might not happen.

If your planning on keeping the link long term, might want to consider buying a few of your own domains, even If they're less than the PR7. Your going to be spending $720 a year at $60 a month for the single PR7 link with little traffic. If the link included direct niche traffic, that would defiantly be a better deal.

I guess you already verified the links exist to make the page a real PR7? Why not check the backlink profile for that PR7 page, never know, you might get lucky with a few free links.
