Hi WF,

I've just created my first ad using adwords and things haven't gone to plan, perhaps I'm missing something...

So, I've created my first with just one keyword to test before creating a whole campaign.

The keyword I'm targeting is the name of a clothing store, I'm targeting this keyword as I'm running a competition on my site with one of the prizes being from this store.

The store name gets about 75,000 exact searches per month, and there are no ads at all that show in search results. I thought because of this that I would be able to get really cheap clicks as I would be the only advertiser.

However, I've had the ad approved for about 24 hours now and have had 0 impressions. In the status it says ' not currently running ads - the keyword phrase doesn't currently trigger any of your ads'. There is a quality score of 3/10, keyword relevance poor. Landing page quality and load time say no problems.

I'm unsure why my ad isn't being triggered for the keyword, the store name is just one word, I have this keyword in my ad once in the title, once in the body and a couple of times on the landing page. I've read the information about keyword relevance in Adwords and it says that single words don't perform well, but there's nothing more relevant I can have as I am only targeting the store name. Any ideas?

Also, the estimated CPC to be on the first page is $1.75, this seems really high as there are no other advertisers for this keyword.

Hope someone can help?

Thanks
