How would you Optimize these URLs for a E-Commerce Site?

So you know in a e-commerce site you typically have:
- homepage
- category page
- product pages

what is the methodology for optimizing the urls?

I know the primary keyword would be in it but what about categories?

So an example.

1. Say you had a site on knitting (first example came to head).

2. Then you have a category like 'sweaters.'

3. then within the category sweaters you have 'kids sweaters'.

4. then within kids sweaters is the product 'Izod Little Boys Vest, Argyle Sweater Vest'

how would each of the urls appear for options 2 to 4 based off the information you have at hand!

    You have answered 50% for your question. You can place a category page called "sweater" on your page and can have a link "kid sweater" and have the product page on the "kidsweater" page.
