Changing WP Themes: Will it change the permalinks?

I was thinking of changing WP themes as I am getting a lousy CTR on my adsense ads. If I do this, will it change the permalinks? I am worried about losing the backlinks I have built up as well as whether the links between my pages and the supporting posts would still be live. So, if someone could tell me if that would be a problem, I would appreciate it. Also, if it does affect the permalinks, is there a way to change the links in the new theme so that I don't lose my backlinks? Thanks

Changing of theme should not affect the URL structure.

No, it won't, unless you are changing to a theme that has default settings for permalinks.

As far as I know, 99.9 percent of themes don't have this.

Nop, but you'll definitely loose how Google sees your site, and how content in structured.

    Example Theme One:

Site with top menu, then 3 headlines (H2) then content.

    Example Theme Two:

Site with top menu, then content.

Makes a HUGE difference SEO wise how your content is funneled, so this is the relevant part... But enough from this weirdoo information, after all people just need to buy some backlinks...

I am not worried about how it changes the onpage SEO as I can deal with that. However, losing several hundred pr2-pr5 backlinks becasue of the change would be another story.
The consensus seems to be that the permalinks will not be changed so as long as that is correct, I can adjust the onpage SEO if necessary.
