Google Adsense hates my face...

I'm at my wits end with Adsense...

Adsense is seeriously like having "Boardwalk and Park Place (with hotels and condos)" and if you don't you loose... You may be able to pickup some Baltic avenue (Clicksor) or Pennsylvania ave (Adbrite) real estate but let's face it... Everyone lands on Boardwalk and Park Place...

Is there a thread that covers everything adsense or article that tells me everything i gotta know.

I've got adsense ads on my main website but would like to finally banch out to put them on a few other websites that get low traffic.

I feel awkward asking this stupid question on this forum but here it goes:

"what do i need on my websites to not have adsense ban me?"

"Can I just create a new channel and start putting ads on my other websites?"

"Does it matter that they are all on the same hosting acc thru godaddy?"

Greatfully appreciate any help, thank you

    1. Follow their TOS and they won't ban you. It's that simple.

    2. Yup, you can create a new channel but you don't actually have to.

    3. It doesn't matter where they are hosted at.

No Chase, its NOT that simple.

Google will ban you for no reason at all, just because they feel like it that day.

I was with them for 4 years. Never had any holds, warnings, nothing. Made payout every time.

Then one day I went to check my earnings & I was banned. They denied my appeal INSTANTLY (literally instantly, just a few seconds after I sent it) without any explanation or anything.

And nothing changed. My site's content had been the exact same for my ENTIRE TIME as an adsense publisher.

So dont come in here saying to "follow the TOS and they wont ban you", because that is complete BS.

Once google decides you're the bad guy (and trust me, eventually, they WILL decide you're the 'bad guy') - thats it. Theres nothing you can do to change their mind.

My advice is to skip ahead to start learning CPA & affiliate marketing. I consider adsense more of a "stepping stone" or a "right of passage" for internet marketing, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

There are much easier & much better ways to monetize your traffic than adsense.

This is exactly right. Building a business around adsense is suicide. Here is a recent story about a big time adsense guy getting banned for having the "potential" to generate invalid clicks:

The only people that say run away from Adsense are the people that have been banned, which is far from being the majority of Adsense publishers.

Been at this (Adsense) 5+ years & not a single problem from Adsense.

OP, follow the TOS, don't buy junk traffic, don't spam your links, privacy policy on every single page, original family friendly content, don't click your own Ads, don't tell anyone else (nobody) about your Adsense site URLs.

Build quality sites for the long haul.

        Thank me in five years.

It's always funny to hear people say stuff like that. As if you're actually important enough for Google to manually select your account and ban you. Don't flatter yourself. Something about your website triggered something on their end that made them suspicious.

Did you do something wrong? No most likely not. But that really doesn't matter since you still violated their TOS by engaging in activity that THEY considered a risk to their business. What you're forgetting is all the different stuff thrown into a TOS that allows businesses to ban you for any reason and throw it under a blanket.

Do you really think that Google got so big by just banning people randomly that they considered to be good publishers? They are a business, not your friend. If what you're doing isn't beneficial to them then they have no reason to keep you involved. Obviously you weren't that important. Obviously a lot of people weren't that important.

Right..... so you're telling me it took them FOUR YEARS to manually review my website & decide I somehow had been "breaking their TOS" the whole time? Thats funny.

    Give me a break dude..

Like I said, they paid me every time without any holds, any warnings, NO PROBLEMS what-so-ever. And like I also said, nothing changed. Everything was exactly the same. How can my stuff be "OK" with google for years, then one day they just decide its breaking their TOS?

I refuse to believe that it took them 4 years to manually review my sites and find "the problem" - There WAS NO PROBLEM. If there was, they wouldn't have kept my account active for so long. And they DEFINITELY wouldn't have paid me.

The only problem here, is Google doesnt give a damn about the publishers.

To the OP, you can believe anybody you want here.. but I'm speaking from experience.

Maybe one day when they ban Chase (not IF they ban him, WHEN they do, because its coming. LOL), he'll change his tune. But until then, believe him, believe me, its up to you..

But whatever you do, please.. DO NOT depend 100% on Adsense to monetize your sites. That would be a huge mistake. lol

Ever thought about the fact that you might have been balancing on a thin line for along time and that you didn't pass more recent automatic check ups? It's not like they never re-evaluate their systems.

Another option is that you've been clickbombed but that it didn't show up in Adsense cause Google filtered it out already, that would truelly suck yes. The only thing I'm scared of sometimes.

Here's a crazy idea... why not TELL someone that they have a problem and give them a chance to fix it?

Hooboy, that's rich. It'll never work. Kill em all, let god sort em out.

No, I'm saying that there system spit your account out as being high risk based on a few statistics that they keep private. Then one of their data entry techs went ahead and suspended the account without further investigation based on the fact that their automated system showed your account as being high risk.

Do you really think it is more realistic that they actually targeted YOU specifically?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[5883293].message }}

Who knows man.. nobody knows what google is gonna do next except for google.

I know they didnt just target me.. But its still ridiculous how things happened.

And yukon, I'd be celebrating my 5th year with them right now had they not banned me (FOR NO REASON) lol dont worry, I'm sure you'll be joining the club one day. We all do..

Dont worry tho, all new members receive free cookies! hahahaha

And no, I don't think I was "on a thin line" because like I said, if I passed their manual review every single time I had one, and I didnt change anything on the site, then I should still pass their next review. AND their next one. AND the one after that.

Think of it like this - You have a beer bottle. Doesn't matter how long its been, or how many times its been "reviewed" - ITS STILL a beer bottle. Even 4 years later.

In this scenario, my sites were the beer bottle. Nothing was different about them, nothing changed since their first review of my site.

What passed the review the first few times, SHOULD have passed the review the next time.

Now that we can definitely agree one, it just sounded at first like you thought they specifically targeted you because of how long you'd been there. Unfortunately I don't see anyone overtaking Adsense in the near future but there has been a great increase in people moving toward affiliate programs and CPA networks over the past few years.

Who says you've ever been manually reviewed? And who says your ban is the result of a manual review. Unless I missed something somewhere?

I'm pretty sure that somewhere in Adsense, it says you must pass a manual review before they issue your payment for any $ earned (or it used to)

I admit I could be wrong about this one, I havent seen an adsense interface in forever.. But I swear it feels like I saw something like that when I was with them.

I guess I can't say 100% for sure that I was manually reviewed.. But whats the purpose of having them (manual reviews) if they dont use it?

I mean for google to be as big as they are, you'd think they would ACTUALLY investigate "problems" instead of just acting like you've never existed with them.

Because thats pretty much what they did. They banned me without warning or cause, they refused to listen to me by email, they dont even HAVE a phone department for adsense.. Its messed up what they do.

They dont mind giving you phone support when you're an advertiser (adwords, YOU PAYING THEM) but if you're a publisher (THEY PAY YOU) and you need to contact someone in adsense, SUCKS TO BE YOU! They dont care.

I lost $100 that day. 60 or so in adsense earnings, and then to add insult to injury, my hubpages earnings were ALSO lost when they banned me!! So thats another 45 that I was out, just because google feels like it.

I mean HUH?? What kind of business model is that?

To the OP, I'm not trying to turn this into some long argument.. Just please, try some CPA/affiliate banners on your site, instead of running adsense. Hell, even use it alongside adsense if you want to.. But just dont use it as your only source of revenue.

Sure, I lost $100 the day they banned me - BUT I made $20 in CPA earnings that same day, just by replacing my ad spots with CPA banners..

And I made a hell of a lot more the next day.. lol like I said, there are WAY better & easier ways to make $ from a website. Adsense is a way for beginners to "step into" the IM game (or at least I think it is.)

I agree for the full 100% for the last part that you're saying in this post, and I'm pretty annoyed by their lack of support. I once had my Adsense account temporarily locked for a reason I'm still unsure about, had to do with verifying a bank account or something that already was verified.

About the manual review before you get paid part, you need to be reviewed to be accepted to the Adsense program at the start ofcourse, and probably they do some anti-fraud checkup when you issue your first payment, but if all is okay then your free to go I guess.

Those manual reviewers are like students to make an extra buck, there task is to review sites that are reported. Can't imagine you got reported, although you never know ofcourse.

This sums up the problem with Google's approach to Adsense (post 16): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5793777

The problem is that the rights of the accused have been flushed right down the toilet.

People get financial penalties just because Google gets a wild hair up their ass. This is not acceptable. It goes against every principle this country was built on.

"Hey! What did I do wrong?"
      "It's a secret."

Yeah, thats what I'm saying - If all is free to go and I passed their reviews (I was paid more than once by them.. 4 YEARS as a publisher!?) and there are no further reviews, what was their problem in the first place?

They never called me to ask whats going on or if I'd noticed anything unusual.

Not a letter, not an email, nothing... I just dont understand that. And all my info was on file. They had numerous ways to even TRY to attempt to contact me. But they didnt.

When I tried to reach out & contact them, they refused.. anyway, I'm off to have a bonfire & have a few drinks with my girl.. lol the heat is finally going away & I can go outside

Have an awesome night everyone!! Get off the PC for a bit & live life a little. This will all be here when you return.
