OLD link building strategies are changed as google thinking more about user experience. So you can see brand new sites are ranking without many backlinks. USER experience is the no one factor about ranking.

1. Natural Social sharing and viral contents
2. Low bounce rate

These are the latest trend to increase the rankings. These days so many sites allow free tools or free services for their potential customers. And collect facebook likes and email.

They expect to get user attraction and reduce bounce rate through giving something away.

That is how many SEO companies giving away free SEO tools for visitors and they visitors will remain on the site for few sites.

If you guys have any new ideas to increase user experience please share it we can discuss about it.

We can make linkbaitring manually these days so Manny companies doing this with press release submission. First they will post the PR within their site and then distribute the PR to news sites.

Link Wheels are an outdated strategy, Link Bait is just a way to garner backlinks from other sites, it's not a strategy, just a backlink generation technique.

Are you mad poor kid? I can understand about your knowledge about latest technologies and ranking signals.

Social sharing and viral content not only make traffic I never said that it for traffic.

Google announced that they consider social sharing as a ranking signal. Actual content can get virality and linkbait from that site will get natural backlinks.

What some companies do: they make a contest with some decent prizes like a cruise or a notebook. To participate you must like them on Facebook. After the contest they have ~10k likes(depending on some factors). Now they just have to keep in touch with their possible clients. I don't know if likes affect rankings directly but it's a nice way to spread the word.

All my best sites (in terms of traffic) have LOW bounce rates.

I'm convinced the big G is prefering sites with good content and low bounce rates.

Bounce rate is quite easy to lower - just put better links in your header, and remove stuff people don't click on (e.g. privacy policy). Use inpage analytics reporting to show you what people click on most.

I've got my bounce rate reduced by around 5% just by making my menu bar more enticing.

Bounce rates depend on niche and type of query, but if you can get it below 70% then you're in business.

Social signals are now also considered as a ranking factor by Google. Interactive and regularly updated websites are ranking high without having too many links. Nowadays business websites must have blog on their websites on which they should do daily updates with informational and useful content, involve in social networking websites to popularize their business to create a positive word of mouth.

Need not to bother about bounce rate as when you will make a high quality website that is popular in social media, and is providing relevant information to users, bounce rate will automatically reduced because few people will leave your website without reading it or purchasing.

I believe that Google can only track your bounce rate if you have Google Analytics/Webmaster Tools attached to your site.

If your site has a high bounce rate, just don't use Google's tracking tools. A few of my sites that had higher bounce rates almost immediately saw increased rankings when I quit using Google tracking tools.

They can also track bounce rate through the Google tool bar, Google's Chrome Browser as well as through the SERPs and how fast/if someone clicks a link in the SERPs then returns to the SERPs.

And...Google may be able to check bounce rate through the javascript they use on pages with Adsense.

Google even tracks dwell time in the SERPs (the amount of time you hover over a SERP link) without being logged into anything.

I can prove it with an organic SERP thumbnail image If anyone wants to see it happen.

Well this is true as far w changing are coming in SEO but you never forget the importance of LinkWheel, Social Bookmarking etc activities.

Sorry, but the idea that Google cannot track your bounce rate if you're not using Google Analytics on your site is dangerously naive.

If you are a normal user, Google is tracking everything you do all the time. It tracks all your activity on its search engine, what you search for, the links you click on and how fast you return back to the results - which is your bounce rate.

If someone hits a link in the SERPS and is then continuing their searching five seconds later it's a fair bet they didn't like the site they clicked on. Multiply that activity by thousands of times and you have a very accurate indication of the bounce rate for a particular site with almost no margin of error.

Bounce rate is a big thing when it comes to SEO. So make sure your site gives value and your bounce rate will be lower

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run. Landing pages should provide the information and services that were promised.

I've a site with bounce rate lesser than 1% and something about 0.68% and I'm creating both good and ordinary backlinks for it. Press releases, link wheels and article submissions for sure as well..
But problem is that I could not have more traffic, Like monthly visits are only 2000-2500 and many of my relevant keywords are on top page as well. I've almost 200+ visits from Wikipedia and 200+ from telegraph co uk and almost 800+ from google... Any suggestions?

Good content, an eye on SEO factors and social sharing. I believe the days of mastering just one tiny technique are running out.

I don't like putting my eggs in one basket. Depending on just one traffic strategy is doing just that. I prefer a varied approach that, granted, takes a lot longer to implement, but remains solid regardless of changes made by Google or anyone.

If you're just starting out start at the core. Take a look at your content. Not just the SEO factors, but take a good look at it and ask yourself, would I recommend this to my grandmother?

Good content is a good way to reduce bounce rate. Add some onpage factors and expand your strategy. Don't be afraid to master one technique at a time, but don't think you can make do with just the one strategy in the long run.

That's how I see it anyway.
