question, for one of my websites i used a fiverr gig to get some quickbacklinks and just 2 days ago i ordered another gig from a diffrent person for backlinks. if the second gig puts backlinks on some of the same sites the first gig did would this cause a probelm of some kind? any thoughts appreciated.

I do not think links from duplicate sites would cause a real problem unless there was a huge overlap. If your site overall has many various types of links from different sites than a few duplicates should not hurt anything. Just my thoughts.

I agree with the above. It's impossible to know for sure without the details. But just make sure you have backlinks from a variety of sources and they grow consistently (instead of 0 backlinks one month and 1,000 the next) and you'll be fine.

At Fiverr.com you can find people willing to do things for $5. Many offer backlinking services along with other services tailored to internet marketers.

Very cool, never heard of it until now. So if I hired someone on there to go out and get backlinks, does Google frown on this type of activity? I generally shy away from anyone/anything offering to get backlinks...last thing I want is for Google to penalize my site for using these types of serves.

I guess in summary, is using this type of service safe?

Be very, very careful. There is some quality at Fiverr, but most of it is garbage in my opinion, at least when it comes to link building. Most of these guys use automated software to scrape the internet for blogs or forums they can spam. Many of those links will come from places like Russia, the Ukraine or China (no offense to anyone reading this from those countries), places that Google doesn't trust. So, thousands of links, all at once, from questionable sites equals big red flag.

IMNSHO, I'd stay away from Fiverr, especially if you are unfamiliar with it - too dangerous. There are plenty of good resources in this forum. If you want to get familiar with Fiverr, purchase some video or creative type gigs. I've had great luck with them.

          Best,
          Dino

I see some of these fivver gigs will get me 1,000 backlinks. Google has to know these backlinks are garbage and penalize my site somehow? Do people really use this with good success?

I apologize if this is a dumb question. I feel like a kid in a candy store with this fiverr site

      Good questions to have.

There are many factors that play into it. If you have a brand new website with no backlinks, and buy a Fiverr gig for 1,000 blog comment backlinks, then Google will probably penalize your site in some way. Most often referred to as being 'sandboxed'.

But if you have a website that already has some backlinks the worst they'll probably do is deindex the links, making them worthless.

Think about it this way, if Google would penalize anyone that ordered backlinks from Fiverr, all we would have to do to beat our competition is buy a $5 backlink package and point them at our competitors website!

Google realizes that anyone can point backlinks to any website, so usually the worst that will happen is they will deindex links that are junk. But domain age and link diversity play an important role as well.

It's also a good idea to know the difference between blog comment backlinks, forum profiles, web 2.0 sites, articles, etc. I recently had a video that was ranking on page 7 for a local keyword, and after 1 carefully chosen Fiverr gig it's now on the first page.

I think you might find that scrapebox blasts and such, which is typically what kind of links are offered on Fiverr, will be a bigger problem for your site than duplicate links.

Thanks for looking at my blog.

Thanks, that makes sense. My site is still very new with only 2 or 3 backlinks. I think I need to start smaller and buy only a few dozen

    Dont focus on quantity.

Their are some really good deals on Fiverr that go unmissed as they are only offering 5 decebt root domain links, but these are the ones to get, not the spammy 10000000000 links in 1 second posts.

Yea, that is what I am noticing. I don't want the 1000 links. I want a handful of high quality. Is there a specific search you use to find more of those services? When I search backlinks, all i get is the spammy 1000 ones

You should orders the gigs which have great reputation and always inform them about your backlinking strategy. Consistency is the key to success.

To get rid of such problem you better be careful in ordering gigs on fiverr. Check the reviews and comments about the seller so that their activities won't hurt your site.

There have been some good threads on how to find good fiverr gigs. Here is one. Fiverr can be either good or bad. Some people know what they are doing, some don't.

Don't buy more than 1 gig a week unless it like.. 5 backlinks or something.

BTW. do you mean you want to use another gig as a second tier? if so - do it. it's always great to do second tier.

You can find some pretty good seo services on fiverr you just have to go through a lot of gigs to locate the best ones.

Good gigs do exist. You just have to communicate with the seller before you buy... If you are ordering articles send the seller and email asking 5 questions where they have to explain in more than one sentence.

You can get a feel if they are qualify... You should contact any seller before doing business so you can get a feel - use the contact seller feature

When Your are going for backlinks from Fiverr, look for quality rather than quantity.
if you want quantity then dont direct the links directly to your Money site. Fiverr works very well, only thing is choose wisely
