    Yep, ScrapeBox is certainly the way to go - but I wouldn't use it for actually posting comments or building links per se, just finding where to build links. As it's name suggests, it's better to "scrape" the information and deal with it manually.

      There are free tools you can use such as SEO Toolbar for competitive research, iGoogle Link Analysis Gadget allows you to query the search engines for a wide variety of link search types. It is as easy as copying and pasting a piece of code.A lot more are available over the net.

    I'd start by signing up to SEOMoz. Try out some of the tools and use them to your advantage by posting your links naturally.

    Automating link building is certainly not a good idea...

    Google can discover automated link building, because, its automated tools blast links in one go... this may hamper your website's growth.

    You may use automated software like 'Keyword Country' for finding good sources for link building and finally, building backlinks to those sources manually.
