it was great software, but now a days its outdated no one is talking about it on other marketing forum too as before. try micro niche finder or niche finder by brad callen these are great tools and works well.

No it's not your bad luck, overall this tool sucks. It's huge Dinosaur and requires lot of memory to run, plus constant updates are killing it. I do not recommend it anymore. It used to be good tool.

Mainly just showing what can be done with a combination of the Google Keyword Tool and a spreadsheet program like Excel or Calc from LibreOffice. It's really very powerful once you've spent some time learning what you can do with it.

Market Samurai & other keyword tools tend to pale in comparison.

I see what you were saying now. I do a little bit of that myself. But as MS has been touted as so good, I thought I would give it another try. So I downloaded it with another email addy. I wanted to give it a real try and try to learn how to use it correctly this time. I did get it working finally, but so far I am not impressed.

I use Market Samurai mainly for SEO Competition Analysis, it gives in-depth First page On-site and off-site seo competition details in Google. But for keyword research, I just stick with Google Keyword Tool!

Yeah I had used the trial of MS last night when I started to do some keyword research. Kept crashing, ran really slow, overall an unpleasant experience. I'll just stick to using G's keyword tool and a spreadsheet.

Suprised to hear all this. I've been using market samurai for about a year now and love it. Never had it crash and it still seems to find good relevant keywords, lists the traffic accurately and does a pretty good job detailing the competition.

It is a pretty large program and it does update a lot, but the updates keep it running smoothly and keep it current. It is my main keyword tool.

Yeah it's kind of a shame. About 2-3 years ago I was a HUGE MS fan. It's always been slow. But I never really minded since it was so powerful. These days there are plenty of other options - even free ones - that are better. (Though the keyword research module in MS is free.)

You should check out serpIQ. I'm using it at the moment and I love it! Saves me a ton of time and it's web based so no need to worry about whether it will work on your computer or not.

It's always been terrible for me.

Takes about 10 minutes to load every time a click a button.

Luckily I never purchased the full version. Just the 45 day free trial through 30 day challenge.

Why do people keep saying to "Use the google keyword tool"? This is only part of your keyword analyzing process! You still have to analyze your competition which is the top 10 sites on the first page of google for any particular keyword phrase!

This really shows that a lot of you shouldn't even be here on this forum acting like you know I.M.. Market Samurai still works and it will analyze the top ten. Somee of these guys are liars and only trying to promote their own software as to why they say that Market Samurai doesn't work anymore...

Note that I recommend other tools in addition to the Google Keyword Tool. MS uses the GKT for KW research. Why not go straight to the source? It's faster and gives you the exact same information. To analyze the top 10 competition you can use the free version of Traffic Travis which even let's you analyze 5 keywords at a time.

And if you want to get really nerdy you can use spreadsheets & filters like I showed above. Yes, I know MS can filter data too. But its PAINFULLY SLOW. Calc (or Excel) is super fast and probably a bit more powerful in what it can do.
