Domain Forwarding & SEO

I'm creating my first niche site. The title/subject area has a common misspelling, so I've bought domain names for both the correct and common incorrect spelling and will be directing both to the same website.

I'm just wondering how this will affect SEO. A bit of advice would be great.
Thanks.

Yes 301 redirect will affect, do proper seo on those domains too.

Standard 301 redirect will be fine.

Thanks guys. Kind of confused now as you seem to disagree on this! Hopefully I'll get a few more responses and be able to find out what the consensus is.
