There are visitors but not visits

Google keyword tools shows 300 visitors for my keyword. My keyword tops SERP. But less than 100 visits are there. Why is that?

    300 visitors you see from Google keyword tools are not acurate number. And also if you are on 1st position for that keyword, you will get around 42% of traffic.

      Ah is it 42% now? I thought #1 gets at least 65% :confused:

        It all depends on the niche. Something that is more factual and precise, probably gets a much higher CTR for the #1 position, while niches that are more opinionated or that require more information by the user probably has the CTR spread out more.

      I would also love to know how you get that specific rating. Per my personal testing it's still above 60%

    I'm also having the same issue. It is very difficult to ascertain exactly how well your keywords are doing when the information that you receive from google is misleading. Essentially, you just get used to it, and figure that if your ranking goes up, that you're doing well.
