High Keyword searches?

How many searches does the keyword have, then the keyword competiton is high?
I want to start a blog and then put adsense on it.

For finding the global searches and competition of a keyword, you can use Google Keyword tool.

  I think the best tools are semrush,keywordspy and Google adwors keyword tool and only Google adwors keyword tool is free and two others are paid.

  The google keyword tool is a great FREE option but i wouldn't say that it's the best by any means. I have used a couple of keyword tools over time and i think SECockpit makes keyword research impossible to not be good at SERIOUSLY! But, it is a little pricey for some people so it just depends on your budget at the end of the day.
