Is this a good backlinking strategy?

Hey all,

I have a keyword term I've dreamt of ranking for. It's a tad mightier than the other keywords I've gone for in the past, but it's so, so rich, and so juicy. I just can't help myself...

I'm scared to take action though, if I mess up the backlinking bit then all the time and money I will have poured into making this work will be a waste. So, long story short...

If I get a nice, juicy backlink to my site, then point some *other* backlinks from say... EZA, GoArticles, and ArticleDashboard at it.... this is good, right?

However, if I have a collection of juicy backlinks, all having their own backlinks from EZA, GoArticles, and ArticleDashboard...will this have the desired effect?

I'm asking really - has anyone tried this with success?

Thanks,

David.

Well, obviously, that is what you want. Authoritive links pointing to your site. If those links have other relevant links pointing to them, then it will help you. Build them up gradually and keep it consistant.

Thanks, however would it matter that all of my backlinks have backlinks from the same place? Also, have you tried and tested this method with results?

It is my understanding that you want to spread your backlinks across multiple domains rather than having a bunch of them coming from the same domain.

I agree with MichaelsWeb... you're gonna want to spread your backlinking out across as many sources as you can possibly get, especially if this is your dream keyword. Good Luck!

Indeedy, I didn't explain myself right though. Just to clarify:

I have site A and site B linking to My Site. I want to point links from Ezine, Go, and ArticleDash at sites A and B, thus increasing the juice flowing those two sites to mine.

Question was; anyone tried this / been penalized for doing this? I imagine it looks kinda suspect if all of my backlinks have their own backlinks from the same source.

According to your linking method, it works when these sites have similar or related niche. You won't get penalized by linking sites that provide unique quality contents.

Don't let the fear get the best of you.

    Just do it.
