Hello. This is my first post in the forums. I have a blog that I started 8 months ago. I think I should be making more money with this blog. The ctr is about .7%. I was reading how most people have a ctr rate between 5-15%. Some have over that. I am using the dosh-dosh theme and I thought my ctr would at least be 3%. What themes are you using, what is your ctr and could you send a url of the site. Otherwise, any advice is appreciated!

I also have the heatmap theme pro 5 but i have not tried it on this site. Has anyone had any luck with this.

    Bump...

Here is my site...(HowToDrawItAll)(.com) I get about 10,000 uniques a month and i am using an adsense ready theme but still only getting .7% in overall conversion. Do you think switching to the CTR theme, Heatmap theme..etc would increase my ctr? Any advice is welcome.

Your CTR is low because the keywords you are targeting are not buyer keywords. People going to your site are trying to learn how to draw something (free) and are not going their to purchase something.

I talk about this a lot in my new WSO how buyer keywords are essential to your sites success and targeting the right keywords.

If I were you I would perhaps offer some type of membership on your site once you build a large user base, give them free tutorials but charge them for a lot of the better ones.

psdtuts.com uses this technique with great success, copy their model.

      Good luck my friend,

      -Ryan

Yes, that is what I am in the process of doing. I am currently going through the development/legal process for this but I was wondering why my ctr was so low with that traffic. Thanks.

I would suggest you to buy adsense pro ultimate ctr theme, its around $49, but the results are superb, you can get as much as 8% CTR with this theme alone...
