Okay so I'm wondering what the best way to backlink is.

a) Create 10-20 Web 2.0 pages with content linking directly to your pages and then sending hundreds of links to each of those web 2.0 pages with a tool like Magic Submitter

OR

b) Sending a whole bunch of links directly to the page I want to rank with a tool like Magic Submitter

OR

Is there a better and more safer way of backlinking?

    Pyramid linking is the way to go. So definitely option a) (specially after post-panda).
