Do Squeeze Pages Kill SEO?

Howdy Partners,

I was wondering if anyone knew about whether how to SEO a squeeze page.

Alright, this might be a stupid and obvious scenario, but here it is.

I do pretty good driving people to my websites from Youtube and I am launching a new product soon. I want to lead them to the sales letter, but at the same time I wanted to bring them to an opt in form where they can get something free before they read my sales letter.

I'm building the new membership site with Profits Theme and I was wondering if having the opt in page as the first page for the youtube traffic would in any way kill the SEO I have set up for my sales letter page.

Actually, If I rank high in Google, I would also want to funnel them through an opt in page before they read my sales copy too.

Should I make my sales copy page the actual domain name, or the opt in page, or am do I have total peanut butter in my brain, and should be doing something totally different and obvious?

Any feedback and help in this matter would be much appreciated!
