Basics of SEO for a thesis theme?

Hey all,

I'm seriously considering setting up a blog that's gonna become huge with great unique content as the basis.

I don't know anything about SEO and don't want to focus TOO much on it.

I decided to go with the thesis framework and know that it is greatly SEO optimized.

Other than that what are the most important aspects of SEO I should focus on?

Of course a little keyword research is in place.

I would love to hear some thoughts on this or be put in the right direction.

I feel I need to do the necessary but not more that that because I don't want to focus to much on SEO.

Thanks for reading my post, have a happy day

You should focus on Meta part and other on page factors. You need to create a sitemap and optimize your images according to keywords. Content should be optimized according to keywords and should have 2-3% keyword density.

    Thanks everyone!

SEOmoz & SEObook seem to be great resources but can you really believe everything they are saying, do they really have a high authority?
