My site ranking stayed at about #4 for over a month. Today it dropped to #11.
I did nothing but added about 10 forum profile or bookmark backlinks these weeks.

Yesterday evening I just added 4 images to one post. And I found a article directory delete all my articles. Do these things affect my ranking?

Hope guys help me analyze my problem.

Thanks

If your articles get deleted you lose some backlinks obviously this will negatively effect your rankings.

Just build a few more high quality backlinks and you'll go back up. Hopefully stronger than before

It may also be the "google dance". Various factors effect ranking. It's hard to say without doing more research.

sovereignn, thanks or your reply. I had about 10 articles deleted on the article directory ArticleRich. You are right but I think whether 10 articles loss is powerful enough to pull down the ranking.

If the articles are removed your site is going to suffer. I'd recommend being patient and building links back slowly. Also review your on site optimization, that's playing a bigger part at the moment. I've seen very poor sites with lots of content climb the top positions and remain their for many months before being swept back down to lower pages. Hope this helps!

jackshane, thank you. I just wonder whether the deleted 10 articles have so much power that can lower the ranking. I mean they are only 10 articles.

If your articles have been removed from a quality website, whose posts were indexed then it may affect your rankings. Try to build more back links for the site
