I don't think article spinning is ever going to die. People are consuming content everywhere thesedays, so I don't see it dying anytime in the near future. Hardly 10% of the web would be absolutely original. And as long as decent products like TBS are out there, this ain't gonna die.

    • Article spinning isn't dead, neither will it die. Garbage article spinning should die. Just like any tool, it can be used to create junk and it can be used to create good, repurposed articles.

Yep. It's all about the quality of spinning. It does make me laugh sometimes when I do some browsing in my free-time and stumble up on the next affiliate site with the ****tiest English ever

Most of the time that is a sign of bad-spinning and lazy marketers!

I have a friend that ONLY does article spinning and submission for all his clients. He's not seeing any negative rankings even with the new algo yesterday. So as far as I can see for now spinning is still not penalized. Although I think it may be a complete waste of time. Put the exact same article on multiple sites and then look at GWT. You'll see a backlink from each. If google didn't count these unspun articles then there would only be one backlink... I have one site that has tons of articles all the same content on multiple platforms and never recieved dup content penalty...

I believe that it after rolling out of Panda, article spinning software have come to an end. After the recent 24th april update, it is confirmed that Google is getting really very strict about quality of websites.

Here's a question for those who find spinning useful. At what percentage difference does a spun article become effective if you retain grammatically correct language ?

Hmm good question. I see others say they get theirs to 90% but I can't comprehend how it is legible. I do spinning where I rewrite every paragraph 3+ times and spin the words. I did do a super spin of 3 paragraph 3 sentence rewrites and all words and it came out insanely good. It took all day to do because it is the most mind numbing thing in the world. I still only got to 70 something percent, but when comparing documents it was amazing.

What software were you using? The uniqueness calculation seems to vary between the various software spinners.

I use spinchimp too, and it takes a ton of work to get uniqueness at 60 - 70%

True. That's why I dictate with Dragon to create filler content for my 2.0 properties

Actually, I'm considering buying some good spinner software now. I'm getting tired of spending 10 hours a day writing good content. I've always shunned spinners, but now I want to give them a try. I'll clean up the articles a bit before I post them (which is what I have to do 95% of the time when I buy articles). I even proofread and edit my own articles several times, so I'd might as well save myself some time.

This latest update has shown me that Google really doesn't reward good content. So many good sites that I used to visit are no longer appearing in the Google search (which has become ridiculous). I have to access most of them through their direct web addresses or my bookmarks. They've been replaced with poor quality sites.

I saw several badly spun articles ranking high on Google today.

hhhmm, so that means poor quality work also has the power to give you $$$ . i also saw many garbage sites are on top in most competitive keywords.

I'm starting to come to this conclusion. When I started building websites, I wanted to make great content. I'd spend days or even a week researching and writing a perfect article. Now my site is nowhere to be found and the search results are full of garbage sites. I feel like Google may be playing me for a fool.

To be honest, I've never used spinning software that, if you want decent (not even good), readable content, that doesn't require HOURS manually setting it up. And, no matter how hard you work, you get junk;. I never used TBS that so many brag about, but I've used most others. Currently I have Spin Chimp and occasionally use it, but none of it produces decent quality you'd want on your site--plus it takes nearly as long as writing it yourself.

I use Dragon to dictate my articles MUCH faster than I can type them out. So far, it's the best way I've found to crank out content.

They are not dead, you just have to use them effectively.

Only use spun content on tier 2/3 backlinks. No humans will be reading them anyway.

Content is king on your money site so don't ever use it on your site!

I don't think an article spinner can really create anything worth reading. Don't bother with it. If you are going to do any sort of article marketing. Do not over do it, and do it all manually.
