As we all know about latest panda update from Google and also understand that this so called "Reward for Quality website" update is baseless and full of flaws.
Is it the beginning of the end of Google Era?

I am totally agree with you about Google's recent update which is totally worst and Google doesn't mention anywhere that what is the limit for quality content. We always use fresh and informative content for website but all is waste is Google eyes. Looking like Google services going to be hard to use for both business owners and search engine optimizers.

Nope. I have been watching my twitter and facebook, even CNN. I havent seen one regular google searcher complain (only internet marketers). Remember, google doesnt care about you or me. They care about the user.

Google knows what they are doing. They knew the algo would have flaws and now they are fixing them. They arent fixing them for us, they are fixing them for themselves.

Google isnt going anywhere anytime soon.

Google still has a few more safe years at the top. One algorithm update is not going to do them in as you predict. I'd expect you to know better, being an SEO expert...

The update isn't finished. Also, you're no "SEO expert".

It's not about whether i am an SEO expert or not.
Rightnow, you can many irrelevant result set for many keywords and people are started saying that bing gives better quality result than google. That's made me to give that statement

Well it is a little bit. lets be honest the people wondering about the end of Google and SEo are only questioning this because their sites tanked and/or they don't have the first clue where they are going to get links and how do SEO now.

More competition would be good. Domination of the search market only leads to sh*t like this.

    Google isn't going anywhere.

Most users of Google who have no idea about SEO or how sites get ranked by Google. They don't give a damn about Panda updates or any of the other nonsense we spend hours each day sweating over.

You tell most people you do SEO for a living and they look at you like you are a magician or speaking Latin.

The only ways of getting a significant portion of people to shift from Google would be some new buzzed about search engine that offered something new, didn't screw it up and had a very significant war chest or Google starts showing blank pages for search results.

Bing and Yahoo haven't been able to make any significant in roads and I doubt anybody else will try because of the costs involved in trying to assault Google's dominance at this point.

It's just another major update guys, this time shaking rankings all over the place.

As with all major updates, there are definitely kinks when it is first rolled out, give it a couple of weeks and you should probably see rankings appearing a little more normal and when the dust settles we can really analyse the best techniques to getting to the top.

On the other hand, I am looking forward to the easy competition once all you other IMers go away

It doesn't take much to shift momentum. It starts with the technically savvy and a few percentage points given to bing will make google quake in their boots because their market cap is priced for growth. Losing search engine traffic to bing = slower growth.

It won't happen overnight, but momentum is a huge thing, and if momentum starts shifting, look out google.

      LOL..
But i aint going no where!

Google is not going anywhere. I think what IMers and so called SEO experts should focus more on how to beat the algo than complianing about google updates. I know this update has tanked my sites too but this can't discourage us guys!

      Come on....
I wanna hear more guys say google is joking and we are not we shall crack it regardless.

I haven't noticed any difference in my rankings so far so hopefully this would only hit "low quality" sites.
It also depends on how you have reached the ranking though.

I do not personally think it's the end of Google. Just updates, as usual.

How hard is it to get behind what Google is trying to do?

How much money are you going to make sitting behind your monitor writing conspiracy theories?

If all you want to do is provide spun and garbage content, maybe you are in the wrong business.

Keep up, or get left behind. But don't blame Google, blame yourself.

Eh, they said the same thing about another company in our lifetime: Microsoft. We all know how that went. Now is it happening to Google anytime soon? Highly doubtful; but it is inevitable. Everything is cyclical...

Yup, and there will be new people to say it every time as their weak businesses that were completely dependent on one website's traffic are rendered moot.

You do realize it is one day in, right? And that every single major update has come with kinks, right? You need to remove the "SEO Expert" from under your name. You literally have no clue how things work.

I got hit big time. But let's wait for the dust to settle in =)
Google will not end. They have no hard competitors, aside from Bing (which doesn't even bring 1/4 traffic even if I am ranking #1 on their search engine)

If another established company tries to take the internet away from Google, they might consider the ramblings of SMB's like affiliate marketers. But I don't see that coming anytime soon, unless Facebook turns into a social search engine LOL

Most users wouldn't notice anything was wrong unless the site itself went down.

If google sold food right now, most users would happily accept spoonful after spoonful.

Panda's are to be cuddled and protected, not blamed for carnage....

Last month a farmer google employee said
"The Google I left was just an advertising company"
Now i truly believe he was completely right. All the updates are just meant to force small business owners to go for paid search (means more and more money in google's pocket) nothing else

It's an interesting question (from the OP) but to be honest with you apart from Yahoo & Bing which are still a long way behind I can't really see anyone rivalling Google's SE dominance and with more and more people joining the internet and browsing for the first time I can't see how Google would fade into the background just because of a few rule changes.

Does Republic | Men's & Women's Fashion, Top Brand Jeans, T-Shirts, Dresses and Shirts deserve first rank for "clothes" (highly competitive keyword) on google.com

Can anyone justify this (especially persons who are supporting this update)?
