Outsourcing Link-Building and Articles

You here all the time that you should outsoruce when you are in a position to do so...so my question is? do you just outsource to fivrr or is there better options.

i used a link-building wso on here and got to page one with both my sites as promised (only two i have sites so far), but in the past week they have both dissapeared from google entirely, any ideas why?

    Like so many others, you bought backlinks designed to manipulate Google's algorithm into giving your sites a prominence in the SERP's which was not warranted by their content and authority or justified by their quality and relevance. And like so many others, an algorithm change caught you out. Apologies for the plain-speaking tone, and sympathy for your bad luck, and better wishes for the future, but it really is as simple as that.

    For backlinks, the only option sensible in the long run is to stop trying to game the system.

    For articles, it depends on what you mean by an "article" and what you want them for.

    As explained in so many threads here, if your idea of an article is that it's a short chunk of keyword-optimized text to which backlinks can be attached, then Fiverr (and/or many equivalents) will be absolutely ideal for you. In the long run, the outcome will almost surely be exactly as you've observed above.

    If, on the other hand, by "article" you mean text of quality, relevance and genuine interest to potential customers, which you intend people to read (i.e. rather than search engines), then you'll be better off with a writer than with someone pretending to be a writer.

    It may help you to appreciate that - contrary to what you may have heard elsewhere from people selling cheap garbage writing/backlinks - article marketing isn't "part of SEO" but a traffic generation system in its own right, and that (as so many Warriors have been finding out over the last year - some of them to their very great cost), depending on Google for your business's primary traffic means that your business will never be more than one algorithm-change away from a potential disaster: it's one of the least secure, least reliable and least well-guided ways there is of building an online business.

    I spent (lost!) a whole afternoon reading posts about 'Article Syndication' in which you provided some excellent and valid information and advice - I am seeking a particular piece which related to how you create your 'resource box' for Ezine, as you seem to be able to point many people to relevant content I wondered whether you would be so kind as to highlight the post(s) for me.

      I normally have no problem producing links to this sort of stuff, especially my own posts, but I really can't find this one. Even to the point that I'm wondering whether possibly it was in a thread which the moderators decided to remove, for some reason. Apologies!

  • Outsourcing your project to a freelancer is not a good idea. Hiring an outsourcing firm is a far way better that leasing an individual employee who are working from home. The staff that you lease are backed by a good management and technical team
    also, your files and data are secured and confidential if you you will be leasing an outsourcing company. Also, the staff that you lease are 100% working for you and dedicated, the people you found at fiverr are all freelancers who working from home and maybe working with other clients at the same time that will affect the quality of their output.

    Outsourcing firm assigned a supervisor who manage your staff to ensure utmost productivity and quality of work.

    • Wow, how terribly shortsighted and biased an opinion... Of course you would say that, you are promoting an outsourcing firm in your sig. As a freelancer myself, I must respectfully disagree with your entire statement.

      I could say the same negative things about a lot of outsourcing firms I've ordered from over the years - especially those from overseas. Bad quality, bad English, just plain bad service. I however refuse to allow some of the bad services I've chosen previously to color my opinion of other services.

      Answer me this... Services and outsourcing companies work with multiple clients just as freelancers do - its how the writers at those firms get paid - and they do so in the fastest amount of time possible so they can take on even more clients. Services take sometimes hundreds of clients a week, so how is it that services produce better quality than a freelancer who takes maybe three or four clients a week?

      As for freelancers, while I don't mean to start anything, saying hiring freelancers is a bad idea and implying they produce bad quality work is just plain wrong. That is essentially saying that hiring writers such as Tiffany Dow (freelancer to the gurus and a fellow warrior), Carol Tice, and Anne Wayman is a bad idea. Is it? Well, since these three women write so well that many people cannot afford their services, I'd say that hiring one of them to write something for you would probably be a better idea than hiring a service.

      Sure, there are indeed bad freelancers, just as there are bad services, but it is not fair to say that hiring freelancers is a bad idea just because of one or two who might benefit from a career change. Just as I would never say all services are bad simply because one I chose delivered my articles a week late and another promised perfect English but delivered barely readable articles. It's simply unprofessional and unfair to generalize.

      To the OP: In other words, if you get anything from this, I would suggest to take any specific opinions with a grain of salt, and use your own judgement to decide whether you should hire a freelancer or a service. Listen to what posters have to say about it, but don't let biased opinions cloud your own judgement. If you do, you risk passing up on a great freelancer or a great service on the word of someone who has something to gain by badmouthing the other side.
