Could Changing My Headers Mess Up My SERPs?

Earlier this week, I changed my headers on my website using these instructions:

Fixing the Artisteer H1 Header Tag - Webhosting How-To'sAll Things Website Hosting

All the pages that have been reindexed since the change have dropped significantly in rankings. The ones that haven't been reindexed haven't.

Could it have messed up my SERPs to have changed my headers in this way? My original thought was that it was Penguin, but then I noticed that only the reindexed pages dropped.

If you change anything that effects your keywords it could have an effect on your ranking

Well, the pages are exactly the same. The only difference is that I would have changed my post titles from an h2 to an h1, and the blog title, which was the old h1, became nothing.

May be your site is Hit by Panda or Google Penguin update, check your SERP for your targeted keywords, if you see massive drop then definitely your site is effected with Google panda or penguin.
