Zerg Rush would have been a fun search. Two
weeks ago.

Once again, I guess nobody is actually paying
attention to what's actually news...;(

Who would be googleing python hosting?!?!?!?!

I have no idea where you people get the time
to sit and do silly searches on google. But,
it must drive adwords people crazy. Just
plain dumb to sit and google...all day long...
stupid stuff....then keep track of results...
leading to numbness of the brain...

But now we know the rest of the story...

Google is "going crazy" with profits and stock
prices, that's for sure! Here's why:

Google cares about real people doing real searches.

What's wrong with Python hosting? It has 880 exact searches according to GKT and they are advertisers for that keyword.

Wow. Really? Google isn't just what you think is important. There are billions of people on this planet searching for 10s of billions of more things. The keywords people are pointing out are probably related to their niche or keywords they are targeting, or they read it on another message board where someone searched it because it was their niche or keyword and they are passing the info on. No one sits here and searches arbitrary or random keywords.

Google will care soon, I met people last night randomly talking about how google "changed" and they can't find what they want anymore. I told him to switch to Bing or duckduckgo.

Actually, duckduckgo is an awesome search engine. I hope more people start using it. My sites rank extremely well in it and the results are pretty good.

I wish more people would use bing actually but of course BIG G has the greater % of the marketshare...

Google didnt change, it never cared about you, me, search quality, the internet or anything else. They are no different than any other multi-billion dollar monopoly in both good and bad ways.

Hopefully soon facebook will launch a quality SE and pout enough market pressure that google will have to think before it carelessly screws us on net neutrality and cippa but for now it is what it is.

The oddest thing is I notice no issues from Google's changes to search, only benefits. If you are having problems with your Google rankings you may need to start rethinking your strategies or possibly even career if you're an internet marketer.

Duck Duck Go returns really good results actually. I've found it very similar to Bing/Yahoo.

I've been openly trying other engines and been quite happy with Bing/DuckDuckGo over the last few days.

Duckduckgo is awesome. If they had the financial backing, they'd give Google a run for their money. I also like how Yandex works. They are on to something...

Its certainly a weird one. Id hate to have to be the manager(s) who explain this update to their bosses Google.

I know Google wants to push Adwords but lets be honest most people tend to trust the organic search rather than sponsored ads. What happens to Google when the organic searches are off?...people go elswhere.

I went to Google from Yahoo because at the time Google seemed better.

Have Google "jumped the shark"...probably not...but in my eyes at least they have shown they are less than perfect.

Google has indeed been whacky for a few days now. I was ranked #1 for a great search phrase for a day or two. I was wondering where all these signups were coming from! I was happy hell until I dropped hard in the rankings. That's ok because I am even more inspired to claw my way back up there knowing now what it's like to be there.

DuckDuckGo is a new search engine that has potential but its still young and Google won't be taken down so soon.

But in other parts of the world, Google isn't the top. E.g: Yahoo! is the top over at Japan and Baidu in China

Googles results since Penguin are worse then any of the other major search engines. Ive actually used Bing a few times for some of my searches because Google was giving me tags and catagory pages as results.
