EXTREMELY HARD Keywords

Does anyone here have a site up right now that ranks top 30 for very difficult keywords and phrases WITHOUT using paid placement? I don't mean "rubber baby buggy bumpers from north east riverside", I mean "real estate".

I'm not looking for a list. I just want to see if there are people here who have succeeded with very hard keywords and phrases via SEO alone. Btw, please do not reply if you have no current and actual proof.

So you want to see our keywords and sites and proof? Do you want that on a silver platter, as well?

You are going it the wrong way dude. Ranking for difficult keywords is extremely hard and time-consuming and there is no way someone that has done it discloses it for no good reason. This is kind of statistics that you may get if there is a several thousand dollars/month project on the table. Otherwise, it definitely is not worth sharing for the risk of penalization, reporting, competitors checking your methods, etc to someone you don't know.
Back to your question, I have done it and I won't disclose it. I am sure there are other warriors here that have done it too and they won't disclose it.

I am ranking well for my keywords, which in quote's produce 8 and 9 digit results and without 10. That is why I am looking for another player, to gain possible insights.

Btw - Usually, at this level information is shared since we are typically competing against large companies for rank, not each other. I got out of the "busy lane", a long time ago.

Possibly yes, but it didn't start in a day.

It took me over a year plus.....but its damn worth the effort and struggles because the keyword generates thousands of thousands of queries per day.

Tracking! Once I got my sites to 2 crawls a day, It was a lot easier to make minor adjustments and then let them age. Some things do take months to work. Now I have learned my crawl schedule, I can go faster.., oddly enough the G-bot is punctual down to the second. Time and age is key.

The more generic the keywords and phrase, the harder it is to define quality link, as all kinds of sites/people link to my sites because they offer something like a public utility like (water, power, telephone, online services) - so there are very few if ANY authority sites that could give a link, besides competitors and in this case, those are companies who don't link out, as they don't need to.

It does not appear that G cares about non-authority links anymore, so that nullifies people link-spamming and dropping competitors by using spamming against them. This has actually saved me as that was the primary tactic my competition had that could work. Since Panda, not so much. I love it.

In my case I have found that if enough people and places link to you, G will figure something out on its own, if you don't really get "high quality" links. They will not penalize you but provisions have been made to still create a link profile for your site.

I stopped caring about links and PR long ago, I go for NEW content. That's 1/3 of the pie now it seems. If you have enough NEW content, links happen, so it is a non-issue.

Now, in terms of consistency it depends on your individual crawl cycle and the resulting dance.

Rule#1. You need to have the NEW content there when the bot shows up.
Rule#2. Every time the bot shows up, give it new content.
Rule#3. When in doubt, see rules 1 and 2. Then execute.

Hint: The bigger your site, the longer it takes to cache, so track/control where the bots go and make sure something new and juicy is there every time. When you have lots to publish, let them run amok all over the site, when not so much, slow the crawl on the not so new places. G is still happy with an old cache but is not so happy with a cache that shows minor changes.

For the difficult keyword (s) you established rank for; how many results were there without " "? My keywords and phrases without " ", are well over 1 Billion.

Currently I am top 30 and this produces good results but I am trying to figure out if the "brute force" (traffic) attack is the best way to go or if the "New Content" (>7mins, <7Hrs?) method is best. Do you have knowledge of these advanced techniques?

My sites are all [Active Crawl] so there is no dance, it's just up or down in the rankings at this point.
