Autogen pages and spam

I bought a software couple years ago that helped me created hundreds of pages to my site.

I have only 20 articles but 800 related keywords. The software helped me to create 800 pages with fixed URLs. The articles are randomly loaded to these pages, so people may see different pages when they visit the same URL. The 800 pages are actually all indexed by Google.

My site dropped a little bit during the recent google penguin update, so I am wondering if that caused my these auto-gen pages!?

Is this blackhat? Is this search engine spam?

I am worry that if I remove all these pages suddenly, my google position will drop further :confused:

Any suggestions? Thanks

    As you mentioned that you bought the software which created hundreds of pages in website, also you have insufficient articles and when visitors come to your website they don't get anything that they require, it means 404 error or broken links error appears on website. I guess because of this traffics is down, so my friend it is spoiling your website business.

    I would like to suggest you to remake the website in CMS such as wordpress which require so much less time to create page or post, and redirect your website to new website. WordPress offers various plugins to add the keywords properly with relevancy and you can manage the page in simple manner. Best of Luck......
