Is "SEOPressor" plugin safe to use on my blogs?

I have spotted a video warning people about it, yet I see other people giving amazing reviews on the plugin. Please can someone let me know as I don't want to waste money on something that has possible bad implementations.

    I'd use EasyWPSEO. Much better and stable than SEOPressor, IMO. Been using it on all my sites with great results.

    SEOPressor is a fine plugin, and completely "safe" to use. It gives you suggestions of things to do that you can accept or ignore. Virtually everything it suggests is just fine. The key to SEO right now is to avoid overdoing it. You want to write for humans, not Google.

    Unsafe plugins right now are the ones that create backlinks automatically. These are the ones to be cautious about.

      Leo, bit of a bump on there I know, anyways I have been using the plugin and testing it out. One thing I have noticed is it seems to suggest you use keywords many many times in the posts, is this correct or is it no longer working.

      From what I have read and learned it's not good to spam keywords in posts, however the seopressor seems to suggest you add it countless times.

    SEOPressor is over priced and not at all useful in the post Panda/Penguin world (unless you want your site to drop for due to keyword stuffing)

      Thanks for the feedback and yes I agree, can I ask you something please. I write up my own articles and what not, I have been writing 500 words but seems I may of added way to many keywords now, how many times should one add a keyword into the post.

      I don't want to get penalized because of this stuffing, I feel if I can get the correct density from you today I'll be able to rectify it etc...

      I actually place my article into a post that already holds content as well, so I guess I'll need to know how many times it should be added into an over all post if possible.

        In the pre Panda/Penguin days I used to take keyword density into consideration when writing articles.

        These days my general approach is if you have to think about keyword density, you're doing it wrong.

        Write in a natural manner and you'll find in most cases that you'll automatically including your keyword and related keywords in a reasonable density without having to thing about it.

          Thanks only just spotted your reply, that does help some what however I'd need to learn the safest number to go by, as you said yourself Google does not appreciate keyword stuffing.

          I don't feel comfortable with going by my instincts, mostly because I'll properly get it wrong and end up penalized.

    What it does is, you put in a keyword that you are targeting with the page that you are building and it sees whether or not you've included that keyword in your title, header tags, content, etc.

    It also given you a page quality score based on the mentioned criteria.

    I think you can also use it to create a template for your titles - Like a generic title for tag pages, category pages, etc.

    So I think it boils down to your preference and experience - if you know how you should structure your pages (on-page-wise), you will get away without it.

    As for the other SEO functions, it doesn't have anything that any other good SEO plugin wouldn't have - for example, Yoast SEO.

      Hi Trevor

      I know how it works now as this thread is pretty old, I have been using it for some time now. I only came back on here due to seeing the plugin is asking me to spam with keywords and what not.

      I was just checking in on someone who posted here when the thread was first created you see, thanks so much for your kind post and advice however it's very appreciated.

      It seems there are some flaws in this plugin IMO, as keyword stuffing as mentioned by the last commented member is a big no no to be honest.

        I didn't notice how old this thread was, but I'm glad to have been of help.

        But yeah, I don't think you really need the plugin if you've been doing SEO for some time.

    Most SEO plugins are rubbish, fact.

    Do some keyword and related terms research and write well for people.

    Simple.

      It's mean to give you the exact specifications on fully optimizing your pages/posts via your website, however it seems that there are some flaws in the plugin itself. It asks you to keyword stuff the heck out of your content and to me that seems some what off.

      However until someone reply's back to me, with a number of how many times it needs to be implemented, I'm some what stuck with using this thing anyway.

      I have searches around on Google and this forum, there seems to be so many different ideas based on how long a post/article should be, along with how the keyword density should be it's tough to call really.

      Hopefully, someone will reply back to me on here, that I have asked about this above etc....

      So keep an eye on the thread I guess, we may be able to get some answers.

      I've been using SEOPressor for a while now. I found it helpful because I'm quite new to SEO, so it helps me make easy changes to blog posts that I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. I never really get my posts above about 85% though, it just gets too hard to read. I haven't had any problems with it though!

      The point is that it asks you to spam your posts, if you look it tells you to add keywords crazy amounts of times.

      As someone else mentioned this is not acceptable, in Google's eyes as you will get penalized and what not.

    Yes, I also stopped caring about keyword density. I just write without thinking about it so the article reads naturally.

    But I do try to include the keyword or at least a variation thereof in the first and last paragraph and within the whole content every here and there.
