I started to earn some money from adsense before the Penguin but now all is gone.
I was thinking and dreaming of making some amazon sites that generate thousands of dollars for me.
It's all about how to choose the right keyword and build backlinks to rank well and get traffic .
i don't know what to do ?
is it going to be: build a site and make hundreds of articles, wait years to start generating some money ?

    I think you're on the right track there.

    Create a website that people find valuable. Also create the kind of content that matches what people are looking for.

    Work on it as long and hard as you can to build up a vibrant and active community that will link to the stuff you create and drive traffic for you.

      All you really need to do is change the way you look at it. It used to be that everyone was focused solely on numbers. 1,000 visitors means 5 sales, 10,000 visitors means 50 sales etc. The problem with this is that it doesn't take into account the quality of the traffic.

      You need to focus on creating a good website first. You should buy content that is truly well written, entertaining and informative. You should legitimately promote and market the website.

      You then need to think about monetizing the quality traffic you receive.

      It's not as hard as it seems. Let's say you want to target the Photography niche. Make a good website about photography, include camera reviews, Photoshop tutorials and other reasons why people in this niche would come to your site. Then just promote related products such as cameras, books, copies of Photoshop, that sort of thing.

    In my experience it has been way easier and faster ranking physical products based keywords promoting Amazon products. Also the conversion was certainly better with Amazon as compared to promoting products from clickbank and others.

    It's almost certain the efforts you put in for traffic and conversion with Amazon will be less than that of others.

    You certainly don't need hundreds of articles to make money soon. Just a couple of thoroughly reviewed pages and you can do quite well in the Amazon game.
