Ranking on Google.com But Not on Local Google?

Hi guys,

Just made a website (about 2 weeks ago) and sent some high PR blog comment links to it (high quality, low obl) and when I check its rankings on google.com it's ranking on the page one.

That's fine, however - I made this site with a purpose of ranking it for a local search term.

And when searching locally, my site is nowehere to be found on the top 10 pages of Google... familiar any1?

In other words, how can I make my website rank locally as well? In fact, I don't care at all about ranking in google.com, I just want it to rank locally. Perhaps building links from domains in my country could help?

Input appreciated

Add a local address. Add that address to google places and local directories. Yah getting links from your own country/area will help.

If you want only local visitors then Make an Account on Google Webmaster Tools and set your Geographic location. this will tell Google to optimize me on local search too
