Another keywords question.

Hey everyone,
I have been researching some keywords and have been reading random stuff online. I see a lot of "TIPS" like this:

Tip: Keywords with less than a 1,000,000 results are easy to dominate.


Does this mean I need 1 million backlinks? One of the keywords Im looking up says its RESULTS: 1,920,000. What would I have to do to dominate that keyword.


Any help would be great.

    The amount of indexed pages per keyword has nothing to do with SEO or ranking a page in the SERPs.

    Quality related backlinks are what you need.

      Im not sure what you mean about "The amount of indexed pages"? Where did that come from?

        Isn't your OP comment a reference to the number of pages returned in the SERPs? That's what it looked like to me.

          I wasnt sure if thats what it actually meant, Im gonna assume you were right on that haha.

          I was confused if it meant backlinks or pages as u stated.

    I have no idea what I'm doing so my question is this.


    If I have no website and an affiliate type shop called My Supplements Shop in the Health and Fitness category, how do I go about finding keywords that will get me visits to that shop? What tools do I use, and what kind of info do i put into that tool to get the results that I want?

    Check your competitors sites, check what keywords they are using..If you are looking for tools on what to use, you can use Google Adword keyword tool..

    "RESULTS: 1,920,000" is the competition that's shown on Google. It means that there are 1,920,000 other guys targeting the same keyword of yours. It doesnt mean you need 1 million backlinks. Few quality links can also get your website on top.

      Ooooooh, I get it now. Why couldnt people just say that haha. When you say "few" what does that mean, 20-50....150 quality? Just trying to get some sort of idea.
