None of the above, when it comes to keyword research they all seem to get their date from the Google keyword tool.

So I believe to find profitable low competitive keyword all you need is to master the Google keyword tool!

Where's the "Other" option?

Google Keyword Tool + Excel / Calc to manipulate the Data + Traffic Travis to research the competition.

No keyword tool for research is good if you dont have the brain to work with it at its best capacity. You can give 200-300$ for a keyword tool but if you look at the charts and data like looking at chinese words .....then you lost your money. Much better hire a pro to do your work if you dont know and if you dont have time to learn.

Google keyword tool is free and easy to use. Make sure you log in and select USA generally unless your keyword target market is in the UK for example.

I love Market Samurai. You can literally start from scratch, find good keywords, find a relevant website name, find sources, analyze the competition for each term, the list goes on and on. It's the best all around seo tool I've ever used.

But when I'm just working on Adsense sites or "Sniper" type affiliate sites I love to use Niche Finder. It's fast and it's very good at finding potentially profitable niches in just minutes. Just last week I was playing around and found a niche in the weight loss market with 66000 exact match searches per month and an average backlink count of 85. This tool is amazing.
