Desperately Need Help With Promotion Ideas (Event Tickets)

I sell event tickets. here's my site TheTicketGarden.com
I should say TRY to sell, because I haven't sold a single ticket.

I have tried facebook and adwords ads, plenty of clicks, but zero sales. My money is draining fast and I need to start selling or dump the idea.

Anyway, my main stumbling point is finding low cpc keywords related to events.
I need ideas on how to find keywords in a super competitive niche.

stuff like madonna tickets, springsteen tickets and coldplay tickets have massive cpc dollar amounts.

Facebook is cheaper than adwords and I've heard people say "im killing it on there". I've tried facebook and not sold a single ticket. How do people use facebook to sell things?

Any ideas appreciated.

try to go the organic way - long tailed keyword niches. I've done that and at least I'm ranking on first pages...

I don't have time to go organic. It doesn't really work well in the ticket sales niche either. If your long tail has the word "ticket" in it, you're competing with ticketmaster regardless of the keyword...if it doesn't, you're wasting time anyway.

Join an affiliate network like Commission Junction or Shareasale and scrap the Adwords campaigns.

    Define "plenty of clicks".

You're probably doing plenty of things wrong. A few tips. Don't bid on "madonna tickets", bid instead on "madonna tickets new york" or wherever she's playing or the dates. Advertise only to that region. Not many will travel from LA to NY so set up campaigns by region. Use appropriate landing page. All these will limit exposure to the right people. Less wasted clicks mean higher conversions and better ROI.

To add on to what Lucid said:

"plenty of clicks" - you can provide more specifics on numbers, I'm sure more experts here can help you dissect the issues.

keywords targeting - again, the specifics here will help. As suggested by Lucid and others, long tail keywords being more relevant may help

      I'll like to add:

Web-design is quite dated and not very user friendly, if you think on the user-interactivity point of view. Help them make useful decisions with less clicks. It's something probably you cannot resolve right now, I understand. But may be a consideration.

Competitors look much more reliable: ticketmaster
