Can I use only one method of link building?

I had success in past using only one method of link building but with the change in algorithm it is not working as it was working before.

My question is there is some situation where only one method can be used..

A classified site can well be promoted in classifieds sites, buying banner spaces etc..

I'd highly suggest diversifying. It looks more 'natural', which seems to be a good goal these days.

  You can use as many methods of link building as you want but why use only one? Writing quality articles is by far the best method if you were to only use one method. Be sure to incorporate anchor texts into your link building. It's extremely important.

Yeah you are going to want to mix it up.

Here's my methods:

web2.0
article marketing
blogroll
guest posting
.gov backlinks (my secret source =)
tumblr
social marketing

I'm sure I do more, but that's off the top of my head. Be sure to mix up your anchor text

You have to use the mix of different link building techniques, it would be beneficial for you. Google spiders like the relevant and unique content so you have to spread content about your business.

you may use all the methods you know for building links but you should build links consistently by hands and never use any software to automate link building process.

Webmasters who hold more than 1 website, try to build 1 of their new website. They offer link exhange to other w.masters and give their new site links in exchange. This way of link building is called 3-way link building. People suppose it a powerful way of SEO.

Using only one method of link building is not safe any more after penguin.You should use different methods as mentioned in previous posts.Then it'll be looked like natural.

Why limit yourself to one method? Staying diverse is more natural change up the anchor text and get links from different sources.

Having your linkbuilding profile look natural is the most important trait it can have.

Sticking to 1 type of link is probably one of the worst things you can do right now.

Social media optimization is becoming a powerful traffic generating method. I heard that using only this method is already suffice. However, I prefer diversifying as well. As long as you use methods the promote off-site and on-site quality, you won't only gain the favor of the Penguin and Panda but also produce more traffic.
