Dear Warriors,

I used to do PPC advertising by direct linking to merchant pages on Adwords and using Clickbank products. This was two years ago and I had to stop cause I had only moderate successes and pressing family commitments...I have a family to feed.

Now I'm back. Basically Im using the GoogleCash methods, i know its outdated abit but i did make my first few sales with a 60% ROI. I think the next step forward is to do landing/squeeze pages for the merchants i wanna promote (please comment if this is STILL the right approach)

Here's my problem;

I was promoting a niche segment in Health and had a few keywords with USD0.30 as the most profitable ones with good CTRs.

In this Campaign, I had two ad variants and two Ad Groups.

Next I made up another Campaign and in the same niche but using a different Publisher. I used a variant of the keyword but suddenly the PPC price jumps up to USD5 and USD10!

My Question is:

1. What went wrong? Is the second Campaign pointing to a sales page (Publisher page) that is an outright sales page? I read somewhere that Adwords frowns on this...

2. Is it wrong to do two different Campaigns of the same niche in the same adwords account?

3. Are landing pages still relevant to use? I was thinking of pointing my PPC campaign to just one landing page containing two or three publisher reviews...

I am sorry for my silly questions and I hope my fellow warriors can help me.

Kindest regards.

Nick.

    Hi Nick,

It sounds like you have been Google slapped. What you need to do is look in your campaign at the keywords that were slapped. You will be able to see the Quality Score information and it will tell you what is giving you a poor Quality Score.

How do I improve my keyword's Quality Score? - AdWords Help Center

Once you identify the issue(s) causing your poor QS and correct them your slap will go away.

    Hi,
1.Well that is sure the problem because most of the merchant sales pages are not allowed by google because they don't follow google's terms and conditions.
    2.It is allowed!Don't see a problem here.
3.Better one product review on one page and on the other page a review for the other product, you could get slapped for doing multiple product reviews on one page.
