    Well, the only info you gave us is the search volume. I've found that low volume KW's aren't too much of a challenge to rank above the fold (top 3-5) on the 1st page.

    In fact, I've had sites ranking on the 1st page for keywords of this size just on solid on-page optimization alone - without having built ANY links.

    Make sure your on-page optimization is tight and build some QUALITY links and you should get there without too much trouble. Then, stay on top of it to STAY there!

    yeah, the point i was making with the traffic travis results (the link above) was that only the top ranked site actuakly has the keyword phrase in the title, description and h1 which are all very important right?? i will be getting the onsite stuff done and then do some article spinning/submissions, and various other link building...

    6600 local is quite a lot but i have managed to get my bali site no1 with onsite seo and various "easy" linkbuilding .... this site is going to be a paid directory so no need to worry about the adsense side of things. thnaks for the info

      SydneyCraig, the title is the most important of those 3. The meta description in fact has little to NO value when it comes to SEO however it is still very important because this is the text that displays on the search page!

      You want to write this almost as if it were an ad to get people to click through to your site! Ranking number 1 means nothing if users don't choose your site in the results over your competitors!

    To be truthful mate you really need to start again and ask a better thought out question because the original post is difficult to understand exactly what you want to know

    i can see you want to know if the keyword your interested in ranking for is easy to rank right ??

    It has 6000+ searches and traffic travis reports back that is easy to rank for correct ??

    If Traffic travis says its easy all this means to me is that is worth lookibng more into i would not say that it means its set in stone but its a good start now check the backlinks to the top 3 sites , social singals ect ect

      Well yes both hey i get you this sort of stuff checking backlinks for PR ect is a little more advanced but its not that difficult and this is what matters now , as you know everythings changed now after the two updates from google its never going back and from now on only quality matters your going to have to do a few hours homework and learn how to check backlinks because 1000`s of links coming to the domain of your backlink dont matter its the quality of the links that are pointing to your competitions sites , you need to know how strong they are

    I am not saying YOU can or cant as i do not know how great an internet marketer you are or how dedicated you are at achieving your goal. However i do not see why someone with a good set of skills behind them could not rank for this keyword fairly quickly
