I'm running facebook ads for a client who wants to promote that their product Y is available in store X. We're running ads targetting within 10 miles of a specific store location.

I've tried changing out ad copy and pictures and can't get a better CTR than .009% We want the pictures to highlight the products for everyone who gets impressions so they will recognize the packaging in the store, but it's getting frustrating with less than stellar CTRs.

right now the best ad is "product Y, now available in Store X, like us!"

I used to have it as "eco friendly product Y, now available in Store X! like us and protect the fish" which was doing slightly better (the store is on an island where pollution is a problem), and all of a sudden facebook decided that was too many characters after I had been running the ad for a while and cut off the ad copy in the middle. When I tried to fix it I only had enough characters for "product Y, now available in Store X. Like us!" which makes no sense because all the other ads I'm running use way more characters.

anyway, any ideas on how I can punch up the CTR on this ad? the idea was to drive people to the clients facebook page to like the product so they could learn more about them and then recognize the products in their local store.

I've looked at other good examples to FB ads, but none of them are really applicable to the type of product and what we're trying to advertise (that the products are available in a particular store)
