Another post-penquin question, this one about the tags you list when you're in wordpress editor. I understand these should not be indexed, but otherwise is there anything else to know?

Can you have too many? Is there some formula to go by in terms of word count in the content to number of tags?

      Don't add them at all?

Don't they serve a purpose in traffic?

An easy solution is not to add them or just add those you find important or relevant. Also don't go for too many.

      Well, what is too many?

To get specific... for a 1000 word article, what would be an appropriate number of tags?
