Google knows what keywords you are trying to target based on your site, description, heading tags etc. Therefore, its unnecessary to keep repeating "professional consulting firm" over and over. Mix it up. Also try doing some anchor text like click here, read more, and your URL.

As far as your question, your keyword 'consulting firm' will benefit because the keywords you listed (best consulting firm, professional..' both have consulting firm in it.

After Penguin update I had use 50% for primary key {KW1|KW2|..|..} and 50% for {click here|view more|here|...|..} in an article or submission, It is good

Don’t just use single keyword to target your keywords it’s better to use variation of keywords with some prefix and suffix. Google always check weightage of your targeted url rather than just anchor text

The keywords you want to rank for, just make sure you have them within the content of your website and in some of your subheadings. Then just naturally build links to your sites with click here, the best consulting firms, finding good consulting services and any more you can make up or think of.

Don't go directly linking to the exact keyword you want all the time. This is the key to building links without having it look unnatural. Hope that helps.

Don't force your anchor text, they must appear natural. Another tip is that you no longer need to forcefully put your anchor text on the same keyword all the time. Be creative and make some variations. The message here is to make everything look simple, natural, and reader-friendly so that Google will not suspect your site of doing any undesirable SEO methods.

This is the same advice people have been saying for years. Make your fakery look natural

I'm not sure I understand the point of actively building links that say 'click here.' There will be little if any benefit for most websites IMHO.
