Well for some of you who have read my other posts ( im scared ) I have hired a new SEO guy who seems really good and is an open book and completely available unlike others I used. That being said, I still was concerned as I've been burned before. Well after only two weeks he has moved one of my most important keywords for me from 188th to 44th. He says he does this the slow and steady way that will keep me there. He even sent me a link so I can check his progress on moving the keyword. Pretty cool stuff I must say. Now I'm getting excited and just wanted previous people who have answered my questions to know.
Thanks

If your targeting 1 major keyword, tell him to rank at least a 2nd page for the same exact keyword, the same way he ranks the 1st page. Your SERPs will be a lot more stable.

I will pass that along. Try to have multiple pages ranked for the same keyword makes great sense. More chances of a potential client choosing me.
      Than you

as Yukon said, pumping all the links into 1 page can cause instability in rankings. For my clients & my personal sites, I always & ALWAYS backlink to both the homepage and the targeted page.
