Where to start with SEO?

I have been reading a lot, and I am thinking to start with 10-20 web 2.0 profiles. I was planning on creating 10 web 2.0 profiles then preparing content like 3-4 articles. After the content creation I was going to post them to my site and all my web 2.0 profiles. That would be tier one of my backlinking then I would create more web 2.0's and blog commenting towards tier 1 web 2.0's also along with article submissions linking towards my web 2.0's? Is this a good way to start any tips?

Not sure what you mean with blog comments, if you place comments at relevant sites then you're better of pointing the link directly at your site. When you plan to use scrapebox for mass commenting then I would put them far back in tier 5 or so.

    Tier1: social profiles / custom web2.0's
    Tier2: automated web2.0's / quality bookmarks
Tier3: bookmarks - think about BMD
    Tier4: forumposts - Fiverr gigs
Tier5: wikiblast / xrumer profiles / scrapebox comments

    Hi,

    SEO isn't just about backlinking.
If I were you I'd start by doing my keyword research first, then prepare my content, make sure my website(s) are ready. There's no point starting to build backlinks if the on-page SEO hasn't been done first.

    Seb.

Do you use Facebook ? Then you can make money just by inviting people to a Facebook group ! It's called the Instant Income System. How cool is that?

Hard to help you if you don't say the size of the site you are building and the amount of competition you're facing. If you are in a competitive niche those 2.0s aren't going to do ****.

If you are building this to sell yah make some ****ty 2.0s. If you plan on making a site to last, build some real social accounts, real forum profiles, real blogs on the 2.0s etc.

Blog comment go to your main site. The junkier your other links the further back the tiers they go. The more you want to keep this site longterm the more tiers you need and the less garbage you use. Your tier 1s would be real sites and profiles in that case.

Don't go too crazy on link building for a new site.

A bit of social bookmarking, some article submissions and guest-blogging will be good enough for a start.

Then when it gets a bit older and you add more content to it, you can scale further.

Im not that really an expert at this but it would be great if you try creating good quality contents first for your website.. Whats the point on creating backlinks when the people visiting your site doesnt like it.. By having good contents, they might stay and surf up on your site..

I just want to say that you should spin those articles before you publish in the web 2.0. Google is aware of this thing now. OK?
    others are really good.

... Yeah, spin if you want to shoot yourself in the foot.
Or write unique quality content if you want to do things properly.

Hey guys thanks, I am not as noobish as some of you might have though I was (maybe the title hinted I was an uber noob haha) honestly I understand how IMPORTANT keyword research is, that is not an issue with me (while I understand all of us could improve in our research I am sure mine is solid enough to at least go as far as analyzing my competition and picking a low comp niche that suits me)

When you're dealing with wordpress, onpage SEO becomes easier, I have a few plugins aiding me so onpage is not a factor especially since I have picked only 3 keywords to target, once you're set on your keywords you know what you are about and onpage is much easier.

I just want to get the MOST out of my day, I need to come up with a schedule to create solid backlinks and set some time to develop good content as well (obviously you can tell I do understand the importance of content)

I pretty much have a strategy in place after hours of reading I am tired of reading and I am ready to take action either tonight or tomorrow, because with SEO time is of essence.

All that said I have seen my sites jump up with a few edu links and manual blog comment links, but this is obviously not enough.
