Should i create subdomain for blog

Hi, i want to create a blog section so should i create subdomain like blog.website.com or should i go for website.com/blog

    There might be some technical information on whether Google considers subdomains to be different from the root domain, I'm not sure though.

    I've always used just a directory on my main domain (website.com/blog) and it's worked fine for me!

    I like it: www.site.com/blog. What's your main site though? Forum? A store? That can affect the decision to.

    Rule of thumb: Keep related content on the same domain. The only exception I'd consider is user-generated content. It might be a good idea to separate main site content from a forum or user-blogs with subdomains like forum.domain.com or blogs.domain.com/user

    For the site blog, domain.com/blog is recommended for SEO.

    Yeah, a sub-directory (website.com/blog) is a better option. It's very commonly used for blogs anyway, so you're good to go.

    You want the link authority of your root domain to trickle into your "Blog" subdomain.

    Subdomains do not inherit as much link authority from the root domain.

    A sub-directory tend to me be more noticed by serps so go that way. It is also more commonly accepted by visitors.
