Adsense decreasing

Why does adsense go back in amount? For instance, I had $13.29 showing on my daily amount. I refreshed the page a short time later and the amount had gone down to $11.52. Same click amount. This has happened before also. What causes this?

    In general it means that google felt that click was invalid so they refund the money back to the advertiser.

      That makes sense. Strangely, sometimes when that happens, it bounces back even higher.
